yes. Compare a worker collective under Stalin to MEC.

I have the person you are interacting with blocked for multiple reasons. That being said, I opened up one comment and noticed he said Nordic countries tax the f$#k out of corporations if this is true. This is new because what it was is corporations paid very little and people paid the majority of it as if that would ever fly in Canada.

You didn't answer the question because you don't know.  Thank you for admitting that.

Save the works "best" nonsense for the uninitiated, thanks.

so then enlighten me, but do it without a cartoon or hyperbole.

Where do you expect to sell you co-op produced goods? in a market economy, or in your lazy utopia?

Why would I make any significant personal effort in your non-market economy? please explain that to me.

I'm gonna say this as gentle as I can.

You should really be reading these comments and listening rather than chiming in at this point.

All this is gonna be is a back and forth of me correcting you because you aren't familiar with the material.

You haven't studied them. You have no experience with them. Haven't spent the time with the theory or the practice.

That has been made crystal clear.

Drop the defensive, bad faith loaded questions and maybe we can actually explore this stuff. Do you not want to do that? If not, why are you here?

Or is the fact you're a business owner and you don't like me calling you an exploiter and proverbial slave owner?

If so, that's the system, dude. Not a moral position, but one of power, a labour relationship. Some of my best friends are business owners, too.  But they at least understand their place in the game. Do you?

in theory or practice? so you've practiced Marxism?

sure, my place in the game. I understand working with innovators and business people. The type of folks that actually move an economy forward.

Its very telling that you can't deal with giving me a practical example of how your lazy dude utopia would work.

?  I am being civil.

I'd really like you to just try to provide a simple, practical example of how your concept would work.

Oh and look who comes to chime in..

Ahhahahaha. Took you long enough.  This threads been up like a full day.

Also, no. This is more akin to a patient telling a doctor they are wrong about a diagnosis without ever actually having studied medicine themselves.

That's your friend @Bob Long lol.

And you too actually, trying to talk about anachism especially.  We've certainly established that haven't we, comrade.

"You never truly understand something until you can explain it to your grandmother” Albert Einstein.

Be like Albert. Just give us a practical worked example of how your concepts would play out in reality.

It is amazing how many people still blindly defend capitalism. They use the same tired talking points, which just tells me they know fuck all about what they are talking about.

Just to get the ball rolling, here is a nice video about the myth that people become lazy without capitalism. Let's see if certain posters in here will actually be willing to get properly educated on the subject.

@Bob Long Instead of laughing, try watching the video.

skimmed it. Same stuff that was there when I was in uni, there's nothing new other than its on YouTube now.

Can you guys just give me a simple worked example of how life really looks under socialism, and why it wouldn't just be more of the same lousy quality of life in most of the countries in the list I provided above?

Other than Barbados. That sounds fun.

I don't want to hear your bullshit. I asked you to watch the video. It is well made and well researched.

Secondly, there are no truly socialist countries in this world. That's just bullshit propaganda. People who actually knew what socialism was would know that. Also, I have a little newsflash for you, Russia and China aren't actually communist, either.

Nah, I'm not fucking bothering with you. You clearly refuse to be educated on the subject. Skimming through the video doesn't mean you know what he is saying.

Also, no one can give you how life would be under socialism because there is no fucking socialist countries on this planet. "Socialism is bad" is just more propaganda bullshit by America.

Oh, don't even start with that garbage. You refuse to actually listen to what I said and actually watch the video I posted. You are not looking to discuss this rationally when you immediately try to shut down what others are telling you.
