  1. I have processed the call up of Zack Ostapchuk however I cannot process Vladar to IR as you already have 3 players on IR as your budget allows (You also forgot a link)
  2. Hate to do this as my check in, however... I will be stepping down from all external roles (Agent/Clause guru) in GML asides from being GM of the Tampa Bay Lightning. This year has been quite taxing on me being an acting agent and spendings hours of days to try to help this league progress and keep this ship running smoothly. Life got in the way for most other agents and execs this year and I fully understand this but this year I was not expecting to bare 90% of the load throughout the season. Again this has become quite taxing on me with some of the abuse I have taken and criticisms of just trying to help out and take time away from my days, weeks and months to keep things going as well as they could. Again this is not a shot at anyone, just an explanation as to the suddenness of this. I have taken some time away from FH and have bounced this around for some time and this is the conclusion I came too. Again, I will continue with being the GM of the Tampa Bay Lightning, but I will use my new found time to regain the fun that FH used to be for me and more importantly for being a dad and a supportive partner for my partner. So with that, I am here!

  16. Post Trade Deadline Press Conference After what was a busy day in which we saw the Tampa Bay Lightning make 6 deals on deadline day and one mega deal the day before deadline day, that Tampa Bay Lightning feel they have done enough to be a contender in the Eastern Conference. Currently sitting 4th in the league standings, and 1st in the Atlantic, it seemed that Tampa Bay was already in a position of success, however after catching up with GM Relyt Krets to discuss the deadline, this is what he had to say. Jeff Marek (Sportsnet): Relyt, take us through the thought process behind the deal in which we saw you trade William Nylander and Travis Konency to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Roope Hintz, Sebastian Aho and JJ Peterka. Trading one of your core players, one who is playing like he has been this season must not have been easy? GMRK: Look, no trade is easy and this was definitely not easy at all. We loved Willie here in Tampa and the plan was to build this team around him and Matthew (Tkachuk), however this opportunity presented itself with GM @ArtemChubarov where he liked Willie as much as we did, and we liked the idea of bringing back 2 players who we felt should make deep runs in this years playoffs, not too mention 2 players who we really look up highly too as well. The fact we were also able to add a great young player in Peterka also really helped soften the blow. All the respect to Konecny as well, but we knew he was a player we were likely to flip and we wish Willie and Travis all the best JM: You made 6 trades on deadline day and 2 the day before. You brought in 4 defensemen in 5 of those deals. What was the thought process behind that, in one deal moving out Philip Broberg who has lots of raw potential still. GMRK: We have felt that our back end has always been an area of weakness all season long. We have really struggled to put together a good group back there to play in front of Vas and we feel this was a need for us to address at the deadline. I feel we did a great job and now have 8 dmen who can play almost anywhere, and we were able to acquire a great veteran in Ryan McDonagh who has won a cup and will be a great presence on the back end. Moving Broberg was not easy and we moved him for less then we had hoped for as we truly believe he will be a top 4 Dman in this league, but again it was about building this back end to be a team that is competitive in the playoffs and as we get deeper into playoffs, depth is needed. But we thank GM @Rush, GM @Rick Blight , GM @PeteyBOI and GM @MeanSeanBean for working with us in these deals for defense and we wish all players going the other way the best going forward JM: You mentioned your deal with Calgary, and you made 2 deals with Calgary, one that saw Philip Danault get moved. Tell us your thoughts on that? GMRK: Again, not a player we were excited or looking to move, however when it came down to it, it was a move we had to make to move out some cap. We made the move worthwhile and again GM Rick Blight worked with us to come up with a very fair a great deal that added to our depth and made us stronger as a forward group JM: Thanks RK and best of luck GMRK: Thank you, and Go Bolts!
