[PGT] Divemonton at Vancouver - Round 2 - Game 5
BCNate replied to PhillipBlunt's topic in Canucks Talk
Any updates on Demko? -
I'm guessing Demko is in for game 5. If he is ready to go, he plays.
-
I wonder if a game 6 return for Demko is in the cards. Not sure will need game 6, but he can't be too far off.
-
Meh, couldn't care less. Oiler outclasses the king in 2 of the game, 3 were real tight. Guess they are firing on all cylinders.

[PGT] Vancouver at Nashville - Round 1 - Game 3
BCNate replied to PhillipBlunt's topic in Canucks Talk
A wins a win. Move on to tomorrows game. Massive game, coming home with a chance to close out on home ice would be huge. Oilers probably cruise through in 5, getting through Nashville as quick as possible would be huge. -
-Myers back in the lineup will help, our size on Defense in game 1 was a difference maker -EP has to step up, I'm expecting a big game from him. -Keep firing shots. Nashville blocking 40 shots a game is going to take a big toll eventually. -I may be alone here, but I don't think Demko is that hurt, I think he will be back if this goes 6 or 7. If he was real hurt he would be back in Vancouver getting treatment, not travelling with the team. Whether it's gamesmanship or I just have a tinfoil hat on, I think there is a reason the team has been tight lipped about his injury. 4-2 Nucks, LFG!

I kinda think this is total BS. We win that last game against Nashville 8 out of 10 times. I'm fully confident we can win both in Nashville and take this series. Survive a few games is round two and get Demko back, see where it goes. This is far from over, we just need our guys to bury pucks into open nets when they are there. Probably have to score 3 or 4 each game to win, but we have the team that can do that.

[PGT] Nashville at Vancouver - Stanley Cup Playoffs Round 1 - Game 2

I still think we win this in 6. We were the much better team last night. I trust our skill guys will adjust and get more shots through, and capitalize on the ones we missed. -
Game 1 and 7 guaranteed in the WCF are not meaningless bragging rights. The West is a bloodbath, we need any advantage that we can get, and that is a potentially huge one. Come Tuesday we will have played 2 games in 10 days, not sure Fatique is going to be an issue. If guys are banged up, you obviously sit them, but otherwise tomorrows game is a big one if we can get the #1 seed. Also, I want the Flames pick to be as low as possible out of spite.
-
1st in the west is a pretty big deal. If we make the WCF, game 1 and 7 at home are big advantages. As it stands that would also keep up in our division for thee first two rounds and avoid a long trip or 2 to Nashville. LA scares me, but we'd have some games to try to figure out their trap.

I bet he plays in Abby to start, but will not be there for long.

Neat article on why Canucks chose their jersey s numbers

Thanks for posting this awesome article OP!! -
I know that any team we get in round one will have the ability to beat us, the West is stacked this year, but I think I'd rather play Vegas than LA/Nashville. Sure they get Stone back after not playing in months, but I think we match up well against them. Getting Demko and Lindholm back will be huge for us. Lindholm gives us many more options down the middle, and even if he doesn't produce a ton of points, he helps us all over the ice.
-
I bet he plays against the Oilers
-
I'm hoping Demko gets 3 games in before the start of the playoffs. That way he is rested, but not rusty.
-
I though he played a great game last night. He is physical, and is starting to find the scoring areas. He will slot in real nice on our third line next year.
-
2 weeks id 4 games for Demko. We will be just fine, lots of time for hs game to round into form. Desmith will pick us up a few points, we have been solid as of late.

100%. People claiming that he can't get more than Hughes are out to lunch. That is not how things work in the NHL.
