  1. I think management can get creative and offer Lindholm a 1 yr show me deal @ $6 mill base and $2 mill performance bonus ( $8 mill total) It would give Lindhom a chance to rebuild his value with $6 mill cap hit and the $ 2mill in bonuses would roll over to the following year when the cap will rise.
  2. Please no to Myers. We are finally going to be clear of him and his chaos this off season. Tanev is on his last legs and overrated. A hard no on both. Hughes - Hronek Zadorov - Soucy ? - Juulsen This is a solid top 4. You can sign a cheap free agent to play with Juulsen.
  3. The cap will also be going up significantly by the time Hughes and Demko need to be resigned. I think the key will be the development of the younger players to contribute on their elc's. Players like Hronek, Zadorov, and Joshua are not easy to find and will only become more expensive. They can probably get Joshua and Zadorov for 4-5 yrs at 8 mil combined plus Hronek 8yrs x 8 mil. With the rising cap, these deals will look like bargains in 2 yrs. Pay them now or overpay for lesser later.
  4. Why do they have to choose? They can and should sign all 3. They each bring needed and different elements to the team. There are other moves that can be made to clear up cap. Plus younger, cheaper players like Pods, Bains, Karlsson, Sasson, and Raty etc.. that can come in cheap and fill out the roster.
  5. Before the suspension Pinto was rumored to be looking for around 2.5 mill on his next contract. He will probably be even cheaper after the suspension. Find a way to make this happen!
  6. I love the idea of adding Pinto. He would be a great addition and a longterm fit. He'll fit under the cap (qualifying offer) this year. Ottawa doesn't have a 1st round pick this year. I think this makes senses for both teams.
  7. Why not target Shane Pinto from Ottawa. He's a young, skilled, big, right shot center that could use a change of scenery and won't cost much on his next contract. While you're at it go after Tarasenko too. To Ottawa: kuzmenko 2nd round pick in 24' To Vancouver: Tarasenko (50% retained) Pinto
