  10. Every little bit helps! Thank you.
  11. The New Jersey Devils are thrilled for this responding season of success. The franchise has managed to be in a playoff position heading into the TDL and we managed to lock up two core players for the long haul in Jack Hughes and Quinton Byfield. This Quinton contract is a symbol of our commitment to the fans of NJ and our desire to ice a competitive team year after year. The Devils managed to add a few potential playoff additions to help support the young group entering what could be their first playoffs in this GM's tenure. The Devils added Luke Schenn, Andrew Peeke, and Goaltender Calvin Pickard on the final day of the trade deadline. The week earlier the team brought in Brandon Duhaime and Andrei Svechnikov to the fold. The Devils will have an uphill battle if we make the playoffs. There is no denying the Columbus Blue Jackets #1 Eastern Seed team is a titan. Unless the Devils can make up ground and pass the Penguins in the final 20 games this is likely their first-round fate. Going up against a Championship calibre team will prove to be challenging, especially without the likes of Jack Hughes in the postseason. We however relish the opportunity to potentially play spoiler and give the Jackets a run for their money. The Objective for this season was a postseason appearance. We would be thrilled with this outcome. Our 5-year rebuild started just before the 2020 Entry Draft where we took Yaroslav Askarov with our first selection #8 OA. We are ahead of schedule and are looking forward to challenging the CDCFL Cup in the near future. Young Mr. Askarov is expected to take a bigger role next season at the NHL level. We are excited for his consistent NHL presence as we look forward! Much thanks to the GM's who made trades with us heading up and at the FL Trade Deadline. @Relyt Krets @Bombastik der Teutone @Theo5789 @D-Money and most importantly... Thank you to @Nail and @Relyt Krets for making this league run so smoothly. Your dedication is appreciated and commendable.
  12. DETROIT RED WINGS POST DEADLINE BREAKDOWN The Red Wings first trade deadline was deemed an overwhelming success according to Franchise GM Rush. The team managed to add some key young pieces for the teams 2024-25 Season. The team moved out top Prospect Alexander Nikishin, Sam Carrick, Spencer Martin, Andrew Peeke, and a plethora of picks. The Red Wings acquired three promising young defensemen who the franchise believes will be ready to contend for spots next season. The highlight add was top defensive prospect Jamie Drysdale. Drysdale has been quite the offensive force in his young career but injuries continue to limit his opportunities to establish himself as a true top-tier offensive dman. The Wings hope their medical staff and off-season planning with Jamie will aid him in becoming a more consistent and healthy member of the franchise. The team also was thrilled to welcome Erik Brannstrom, the long-time Senators Dman who has struggled to establish himself as a legitimate top 4 defenseman. The opportunities available for Brannstrom with the Wings this season and a clean slate will hopefully foster a newfound lustre in his career trajectory. The team also added Oilers Dman Philip Broberg who has struggled to have an opportunity to play on the cup contender Edmonton Oilers. Every little mistake has cost him ice time, and Philip may need room to make mistakes. The Wings believe he could be a very solid 3-5 Dman. The Wings are very excited about the additions we have made on defence. We also completely overhauled our goaltending position by bringing in the likes of John Gibson (Ducks veteran goalie) and young Sabres netminder Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. The team feels confident in its goaltending duo and it is expected John Gibson will be moved this off-season by the Ducks. Luukkonen is having a career year and has put a very respectable 915 SV% in 40 starts. Upfront the Red Wings added veteran forwards Reilly Smith and Tyler Motte to help guide the young forwards as the team closes at the season's end. The most exciting addition though aside from Jamie Drysdale and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen would have to be the Vancouver 2024 1st Round Pick the team acquired in the Nikishin deal. The pick is expected to be in the top 10 of this year's draft. This could open up some fun outcomes for the Wings who currently hold two picks in the top 10 range. Pieces coming in via the deadline (All of FEB): Updated Lines for the close of the season: Anddrei Svechnikov - Tim Stutzle - Alex Debrincat Reilly Smith - Nick Schmaltz - Josh Anderson Pierre Engvall - Jake Evans - Oliver Wahlstrom Tyler Motte - Peyton Krebs - Dylan Guenther Vince Dunn - Jamie Drysdale Jonas Brodin - Calen Addison Erik Brannstrom - Ethan Bear John Gibson Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen Extra Bodies: Austin Watson, Nicolas Aube-Kubel

  15. for those of you not on discord. NJ is actively trying to sign Brandon Duhaime (COL). But since it is trade deadline it wouldn't be wise of us to not hear what offers might look like. We would be thrilled to keep him but if your offer surprises us we might have a change of heart. feel free to send us a message if you have an offer you think we would like.
  16. Recall: DET recalls Dylan Guenther.
  17. Interest in Peeke and Dumba increasing.

  19. IR Placement: DET requests Jamie Drysdale be placed on IR if possible.

  21. Let's keep Krebs up. DET sends down Ivan Miroshnichenko. No waivers.
  22. DET places claim on Alex Nylander.
  23. DET TRADE BLOCK - Matt Dumba (TBL) 50% retained 1.95m - Austin Watson (TBL) - Andrew Peeke (BOS) - Oliver Wahlstrom (NYI) - Nick DeSimone (NJD) - Lucas Carlsson (AHL FLA) Open to offers. Wahlstrom and Peeke would cost more as they are younger assets. But we are by no means married to them. If the right offers were to come we would entertain them.
  24. Assignment: DET assigns Peyton Krebs (no waivers required.) pending trade call
  25. Welcome Kaapo! We are hopeful Kakhonen can maybe earn us some playoff starts. He's got a long road ahead and some stiff competition tho with Allen. It is unfortunate Elvis wasn't dealt at the tdl but this move clears up a bit of cap space for us so we have room for eventual callups. We can ice a 23 man roster again yay! NJ might make another one or two small moves to add depth support but I don't imagine we will add any incredible pieces.
