  1. unfortunately the only way to make that work would be to wake up at 5am to watch it. It’s a good idea in theory though. I work at a Sporting Goods store and they know I’m a Canucks fan so it’d be unlikely everyone would keep quiet about the result
  2. So I live in the Pittsburgh area, the games are really late at night. Sadly I start work at 7a M-F. My wife and I have two young sons, but they’re 6 and 4 so it’s not like they’re babies who need lots of care in the middle of the night. I’ve stayed up real late for a few of the Canucks playoff games, but I definitely feel it the next day. Guys and girls, convince me with compelling arguments why I should stay up way late in the eastern time zone to watch the rest of the Canucks playoff games
  3. yeah I know what you mean, the way that series was officiated, or wasn’t officiated will always bother us all. It turned into a back-alley street-fight and the rule book got tossed out the window. Boston got away with almost anything in that series
  4. I agree with you to an extent and you make valid points, but the same could be said for the Nashville series. We were outplayed for long stretches and could barely register very many shots on goal. But we’ve found ways to win hockey games. All that matters this time of year
  5. 2011 was a much different story. We’d already lost Hammer due to injury and Rome’s hit was definitely late and caused a significant head injury to Nathan Horton. 4 finals games was severe, but it was also a very dangerous late hit. Without 2 of our top 6 D, and a barely standing Ryan Kesler, we had little chance of winning that series. Amazing it even went 7 games
  6. I honestly think it’s really important to be mean and hard to play against. Chris Pronger was an incredible hall of fame defenseman, but he was also one mean, often dirty guy to play against, suspended several times. He also took 3 different teams to the finals, winning with Anaheim in 2007. Chris Chelios? Couldn’t stand the guy, but he sure was effective as a mean-tempered competitor and won a couple Cups too. Finally we have a team that people might be afraid of
  7. I’m just assuming they’ll suspend him for at least a game, does the NHL ever make the right decision? How much of an impact does Soucy make? Is his loss fairly noticeable?
  8. Man one loss and so many turning on the team. It wasn’t a great third period and overtime, Edmonton definitely outplayed us, but guys, there’s a reason they’re the favorite. They have two slam dunk hall of Famers playing on the same line and mcdavid may go down as the greatest offensive force this game has ever seen. It’s 1-1, we knew we’d have to win at least one game in Edmonton. Come on now, support the team! They’ve had a fantastic season and everything now is just gravy, just enjoy it!
  9. Yeah I was just waiting for the Oiler OT goal, knew it was likely coming. Vancouver was so passive and just let Edmonton come at them wave after wave. Honestly they were incredibly fortunate they even survived regulation. Knew this could be a long series, gotta re-group and put together more complete efforts on the road.
  10. We 100% deserved to lose that game. We just completely stopped playing in the 3rd and nothing changed in OT
