  1. You can tell Juice takes a shot whenever he gets the chance too. I don’t get all the hate, I like that he isn’t a total homer. He seems objective to me, but maybe tries a bit to not seem like a Homer.
  2. That would be an ideal situation. It really depends on him though. You can be certain that some team will offer a 4x4, but does he want to stay in Van and give up that 4 million dollar difference. My guess is yes, but time will tell…
  3. McDavid interviews after a loss are just about as good as the win itself!
  4. That is a very convincing statement. Still think him with Garland and Joshua has potential, and we have never seen that
  5. You don’t find a decrease in flexibility fast twitch movement? I find even jogging very difficult now, my hips and joints feel stiff, but maybe it’s just me getting old
  6. It depends how heavy you are going, but I have heard many strongmen/power lifters coming out saying that they don’t recommend people do them unless you are specifically doing them in competition because they cause a general decrease in general athleticism. If you start lifting into the 1-5 rep range for a few months you will notice it.
  7. So everyone seems to think something is going on with him whether it be physical or mental, nobody really knows. The fact that he really hasn’t missed any time though makes people believe it is mental. I do think this is probably most likely with his contact and everything this year and the idea he might be traded. My hare brained theory is that it could be a physical problem although not necessarily an injury. I think Petey has a bit of a chip on his shoulder about being too small and having being asked about it his whole life. With how competitive he is, it would make sense he wanted to do something about it during last offseason. Remember all those videos of him doing relatively heavy deadlifts and people were commenting on how he looked stronger. Now this is all well and good, but one thing that comes with increasing strength and muscle mass is the loss of flexibility and quick reflexes. Deadlifts in particular are very hard on the entire body including all your core muscles and small muscles in your joints. I personally know how much less athletic overall I am now compared to when I was not doing lots of deadlifts. Everything from running, jumping, reaction time all significantly worse. I would like to hope pro athletes would know better, but you never know…
  8. That’s the only good thing about playing the Preds and you want to take it away from us…
  9. You forgot Nucks stomped Oil, the cycle will complete itself!
  10. Congratulations Canucks and fans everyone! We did it, and battled through some serious adversity. Our boys are maturing before our eyes. What a disciplined mature performance from the whole team. Petey really digging in and showing up when it matters most. Hopefully this gives him some confidence going into round 2. Oilers we coming for you…McDavid we are setting up shop in your head!!!’
  11. Well that was a lot of stress on my old heart. It really felt the a reversal of game 2. It felt like we had more than 11 shots on net, but wow what a crazy low shot series. Playoff hockey at its best! I thought Petey seemed much more confident than last game. Still not peak Petey, but a step in the right direction. what a confidence builder for Desmith. So happy for him. Rest up boys and get ready to put them on the brink next game.
