Really interested if Canucks want this game to be locked down and non free wheeling. Nashville series while stressful was good for the lessons learned as other than the 1 - 0 game Edmonton won over LA uncertain whether Edmonton really has the close checking game in them. My gut tells me go with close checking as their free wheeling players will not be happy and not accustomed to that.. if however they get first goal or two..could be a long night as they clearly always pile on after getting up on a team...playoff hockey folks..all the best

As an old timer, the defense is hard to play against and tough and big...... I am very impressed by Zadorov and his swagger...it does make a difference...you can see it and adding a few goals ...wow...once that guy and sometimes Myers starts a counter play out of the defensive zone they are almost impossible to stop with the wingspan they have that can put distance between them and an opponent. Not overconfident. We have a good team that plays hard and for each other. That with a few lucky bounces is a winning formula.

The team is learning what it takes to win.....Mr. Tocchet has been preaching what it takes to win from December onwards but until the team is actually experiencing it, they could not internalize. They are now internalizing that and they are starting to connect the dots of what it actually takes. I am not stating this so that we can feel good about making it this far as sometimes raw energy and being naïve is preferred....not always the tried and true takes the day. Rough around the edges has its benefits sometimes and I am excited to see how this series plays out.

McD and Draitsal and a little less Hymen are major talents...their supporting cast will have to step up.....overall I take the Canuck talent as a cohesive team but those two easily can take over a game....match up strategy will be crucial

I found it odd after the natural reaction of assuming the puck was going into the net that they kept their hands up and kept celebrating...maybe they froze from the idea that their player missed the shot?
