I understand how a DVT works and that isn’t it. It is described as a blood clotting issue and everyone here assumes it is a clot but that description does not mean that and it doesn’t necessarily mean it is a DVT which is what everyone is assuming although getting the consequences wrong. A blood clotting issue could be a bleeding problem, it could be a superficial thrombophlebitis it could be any number of things. All I said is without more details the report is useless and we shouldn’t jump to conclusions.

I am not nervous. They aren’t a great team. With Demko this barely goes 5. We got this. We have better D, better forward depth, and before last night better goal tender. If we can just fix that anemic PP, how about trying to enter the zone with pace. Dallas here we come (with no Demko Dallas is where this run ends I think). Too bad we rode Demko so hard in the regular season. With all the FAs on this team it is going to look very different next year and then the OEL penalty hits.

Never like to lump fans of a team together like we are homogenous. That being said I would never cheer for Edmonton. Don’t like the city (lived there for 7 years as a kid) don’t like the team. I recognize how good McDavid is and how entertaining but can’t stand him. Comes off as an arrogant, whiny, entitled prick and has every time I have seen him since the draft lottery. Would take Drais any day though. He plays the game tough, with an edge and a really chippy annoying attitude.

I don’t watch any sports centre or anything like that but I do listen to NHL radio. The dismissive attitude that pretty much all the hosts and guests have about the Canucks is amazing. ‘They are still fellating the Oilers and dismissing our chances. Of course they also spout the idea that they are beating themselves and we have nothing to do with it. Finish this one tonight! I will happily listen to them explain how we got lucky again and whaaah…. I hoped Avs would pull it out. Canucks Avs conference final would have been amazing. Pretty much since EP came into the league these 2 teams have put on fantastic games and they seem to bring out the best in Pettey. Hah. Didn’t even realize what thread was in. Maybe went to hard last night for such an old man.

Why does this board have a fascination with Domi? Domi is not a first liner and frankly I don’t want his inconsistency in our lineup at all. ‘So much I don’t like here. Letting Joshua go is nuts especially in favour of a scrub who lives off his father’s name. If 5x6.5 got it done for Lindholm it would have been done already.

Love how Ekholm says they are the better team and that they don’t have the D or goaltending for that. Which is it? Do you realize as a D man that the D is part of the team. ‘We have better forward depth, maybe they have the best 2 forwards in the game but our top 6 can match theirs and our bottom 6 is way better. Our D is way better than theirs even with Cole’s struggles and we are beating them with our third string tender. Silov’s has been great but Demko is significantly better. Should be a great game tomorrow even when they throw Sutherland at us. Close out these cheap shot artists tomorrow in front of their fans so we can watch them cry oily tears.

Finally finished the game. Stupid wonky Rogers PVR. Wow. First the PK. They finally cut the pass to Drais from McDavid driving across the middle. Much more effective 4th line tonight. Like PDG said, their line was getting in deep and winning puck battles. Pods was big and fast and solid we need to see him keep developing, he is lab made for Tocchet’s systems. I hope he stays in the lineup. Some secondary scoring was huge. ‘The Lindholm Petterson combo looked good. Wouldn’t mind seeing Tocch sneak Pods into the other wing spot sometimes. Heart warming to see the crowd get the Pettey chant going. Just not going to get into the refs. Not going to talk about the reffing anymore unless they throw us Sutherland on Saturday.
