I would like to see us try and get Necas, he could gel great with #40 and is a well rounded player from what I have seen of his play for the most part

it cost us a 2nd to lose Dickinson at nearly half the cap hit. Teams would ask us for a 1st. I would call Dubas and offer Mik plus something for R. Smith who is 5m for 1 year I believe. Smith can score and likely produce with #40...where Mik can't score and is an overpaid soft winger who has some speed but I think Dennis Pederson could have score more on that line and he had hands of stone!

My offer to him is 5yr 4.5m cap hit with a signing bonus and some trade protection. If he wants 5m plus and 5yr or more unless we all of a sudden are willing to play him top 4 instead of Cole/Myers/Soucey(or with Soucy) then its too expensive for a big 3rd pairing D. He can skate, hit and has a good shot. He should be on the PP and in the top 4 imo!

That would be a great comparison, unfortunately teams don't usually have 8 years or more to stick with a prospect and his development. When we got Joshua we gave him an NHL contract but he was well into his mid 20s. I hope we can get more from Klim but it also can't be easy for him to now have a 3rd coach, hopefully the team realizes this and spends the time and gives him a longer leash this coming fall with more playing time to try and work through some deficienies...being scratched doesn't achieve that kids need to play and know that some mistakes won't lead them to being press boxed.

just qualify him at just over 5m and see what kind of season he can have on a SEPERATE pairing. I would split them up then we don't have to keep Myers that guy has to go unless a hometown 1m deal is coming. Zadorov if kept should play with Hughes or Hronek. If Hronek and Petey were injured during the year I am surprised the team didn't try to rest them leading up to the playoffs like Lindholm. We had a comfortable spot in the standings and coule have rested them to see if it would help. If we trade for a RHD's rights before July 1 and sign said player then we should dangle Hronek on the market to see what he might fetch. Say to Carolina for Necas, Scott Morrow and maybe a pick or prospect. Top 4 RHD are a premium and if Carolina is losing Pesce and Burns is only getting older maybe they are interested in H?

Team needs to get him a big winger that can play or just call up Carolina GM and see what the offer from them would be at the draft… big off season for the soon to be 11.6m man! He best be a difference maker all year next season or he will be the talk of the town like he has been since the all star break…

Like the player but he went quiet to end round 2. We stopped playing physical and we lost the series. He is a big guy but doesn’t play hard night in night out so unless it’s under 5m walk from Zadorov. We just don’t have the cap room to overpay guys for a couple good games in the playoffs etc or rising cost tails of a Norris D man. if Seravalli is close to any of his projections with Hronek and Zadorov, both get traded if they want near 8m & 6m respectively. neither are worth that and the salary cap says hello

i really wish we were wearing the Black skate jersey in the playoffs...Orca bay for the road and hopefully full time skate next year and finally get rid of the orca bay ties to the team. That era sucked and I refuse to pay for any Canuck merchandise with that logo on it. Flying skate Canuck fan for life, I do like the blue and green and just use the original stick in rink as our 3rd jersey or instead of the effin orca bay logo!

I don't see enough from Hronek to pay him 7m personally, we could sign someone for less to be effective with Quinn. But that is just me, I was really hoping Zadorov and Hronek would be a solid 2nd pair of I would put Zadorov with Hughes to protect him if anyone hacks or goes after him. Splitting up Hughes Hronek would lead to a more balanced D group imo and lets see Hronek produce some offense on his own and earn that new contract showing he can lead his D pairing not be a ride along with Hughes
