  1. Anybody else feel like we’ve finally found the right roster? Personally, I don’t want to see Hoglander out of the lineup again. Podkolzin as well is just such a top lad, instant morale boost with him in the lineup. Happy to see him getting experience.
  2. Are we really considering putting in a raw Lekkerimaki before Podkolzin? I get that there's been no bottom-line scoring from Podz at all this year, and he's been passed on the depth chart... but I really thought us being in the second round of the NHL playoffs would allow the guy to get some experience. He's a playoff type player in theory, and everybody loves the guy in the locker room - him scoring a key goal for us would be such a feel-good story for this group right now.
  3. I remember getting so hyped in the offseason by an instagram pic from last summer with Kuzmenko, Mikheyev, Silovs, and Zadorov on a boat… Crazy how much has happened since then…
  4. Pettersson could score on Skinner standing still at the hash marks. How do we get him the puck in position?
  5. Just tremendous. How can we not re-sign Dakota and Big Z? Silovs did not play great, but I still feel you have to go with him for game 2. He battled through it, and I think his upside is too tantalizing compared to DeSmith.
  6. He looked absolutely massive in net last night. The kid is skinny, but he's 6'4 with the huge chesty. Considering there's not a lot separating a journeyman backup with experience and a team's top goaltending prospect who's been playing pro hockey for a few years already... I'd give the crease to the guy who's got more room to develop. This experience could be huge for Arty's career going forward, while DeSmith is what he is.
  7. Are ya'll really that stressed? I'm disappointed we didn't pull out the win last night, but it's really this simple - we need one more win while Nashville needs two. We're still in the driver's seat here... We just need one of our gamebreakers to break the game open. Miller, Boeser, and Hughes have been quite good, but there's another level. Obviously Pettersson playing to his ability would go a long way as well.
  8. Arturs had a good not great season in Abbotsford this year, but I've always considered him a #10-12 goalie prospect. Just so thrilled for the kid tonight. Another feather in the cap for our drafting/development team and most specifically Ian Clark.
  9. Trial by fire for young Arty. As a goalie guy, I live for this stuff. A good start is absolutely imperative here.
