RECALLED: The New Jersey Devils have recalled forward Jakub Lauko from Atlantic City.

The Jets actually have a good amount of very good prospects coming though. So they have a window that can be stretched while retaining their core players. A little chuckle to see all these " what no rebuild ? " posts. The Jets have one of the best goaltenders in the game, very good forwards and defense. There is no reason to believe they can't be contenders and for years to come. Half a dozen years from now there will be core pieces moving along and youngsters established and contributing.

I think what you see is what you get for starting the year now.

As I understand it the moves they made already are to be compliant. Which means no further additions re: Coghlan. I felt skipping Bjork was a miss the team shouldn't of wasted. Coghlan im a fan of but again will be a miss.

I think last deadline they suggested when he was dealt to Toronto he was an " elite PK player ". Hes an NHL body anyways

Me physically being to Israel or not ( no I have not by the way ) has what to do with my comments ? I am not pro either side of this conflict. Simple time required to read literature on this as well as view reports from various sides can educate one on what is going on. The " have you been there " argument to validate discussion among interested and inquiring minds is lame. Factually unfortunately Israel has been violating rules and rulings by the international community to expand their footprint by occupying and oppressing. That has consequences.

Frankly its disgusting that the World, the UN just let so many violations occur and continue in Israel without any consequence. I have no idea why the World has not to this date held Israel accountable for their actions. Simply put, what has been going on for over 50 years is a disgrace.

Absolutely.

Small sample size yes, but 11 points in 33 games for a rookie defenseman is a good output. He plays a calm reliable game, he can use his size and doesn't have cement hands. From what I have read makes the smart play, doesn't try to do too much. Columbus has a lot of good defense coming up and pushing for roles as well, so yes he's just Waivers fodder but there could be something i'd be willing to take a chance on for free versus other options out there.

Bjork out of Columbus is a little surprising. I would like the Canucks to make a claim on him, either way I have a feeling he won't make it through.

Teams looking to solidify their rosters via the trade route can take note that forwards Casey Cizikas and Patrick Maroon, as well as defenseman Jon Merrill are actively being discussed with inquiring clubs. They are not going to move Kuzmenko to add a defenseman. They acquired Hronek last year, that is the big top pair dman you are looking for. The fact Tocchet will have them spread out over two pairs most of the time doesn't change Hronek as being that top righty. Cole seems to fit well with Hronek, someone will fit with Hughes.

I agree, McDonough doesn't have the speed needed and his NHL calibre skill is his shot, not a lot more to this point.

Zucc and Kaprizov have been lights out playing together. You lock up that duo everytime you get the chance.

Coghlan would be a nice return.

little surprised Gawanke didn't make the Sharks roster. Could be something in that player, then again if he didn't make the Sharks hmm.

One thing I am noticing teams disregarding is: To assign a player that is not waivers exempt those players need to IN THEIR OWN POST be placed on Waivers. Posts where multiple transactions occur is not how we are supposed to post transactions. To move players from active roster or minors you need to " assign " players not " cut " them.
