Who here is actually happy with the Hronek trade?
GrammaInTheTub replied to Odd.'s topic in Canucks Talk
Hronek’s interview started out completely cordial and normal. It wasn’t until pressed on if he wasn’t being forthcoming that he got frustrated. Nothing about his interview suggests he wants out of Vancouver and anyone who is reading into that probably can’t maintain healthy relationships with others. -
[WCF] Dallas Stars (C1) vs. Edmonton Oilers (P2)

While I think McDavid is too good to go without a cup, I honestly think this Edmonton team isn’t the team it’s going to happen with. -
Although some of us have come to terms with the game 7 loss and look forward to the future; for these guys it’s their livelihood, their legacy, their passion. I am glad that Hronek fired back and was pissed off - he should be with himself and I think that’s what he was expressing. Zadorov fired back on the media as well - just in a more charming manner. Miller gets pissed for too. I want players who are invested in the team and being their best and these guys bring it. No more passive and tomorrow’s a new day feigned optimism in interviews after losses like we saw before. We have a team of professional young men who believe in being accountable to each other.

Oh boy! “Some” cap space! Stamkos going to go down as one of the most loyal if he accepts a deal in the “some” cap space range If I were in Stamkos PPG dancing shoes; I wouldn’t be in this tub -

We exceeded expectations and are set up well for the future. I have full faith in our management to make the moves needed to inch us closer to our final goal - they’ve proven themselves able with this season. The biggest thing that I am proud of this team for is the culture change and I largely attribute that to our Jack Adam’s winning coach, Tocchet. -

It’s a gamble for sure - Vegas is going to have some pain this off season. But would I trade some offseason pain for a cup? Absolutely. -

Like many of you, I’m going stars in 5. I think McDrai can buy Edmonton one game and one game only. -

Tampa has mastered the cap so if he’s a priority for Tampa they’ll make it work. Unfortunately for Tampa, I think this blade cuts both ways. If Tampa has troubles making space, the kind that requires a still-perennial PPG Stamkos to take a sizeable paycut, I think Stamkos will catch the hint that he’s not a priority and it may spur him to chase another cup elsewhere while earning his rightful pay. -

Boston is going to be going after Stamkos hard, me thinks. If not Stamkos, it’ll be Lindholm. But I think they take a real shot at Stamkos so we’ll see if he likes Boston’s chances of another cup better (and obviously the money).
