  1. I don’t, but in all fairness I was never very flexible or good at jogging before training
  2. I am definitely not a pro and do what my coach tells me to do however I am a competitive Strongman athlete that does a lot of deadlifts. There is absolutely a risk to them due to the nature of heavy weights. In the three years I have been training heavy my athleticism has increased. I can jump higher, run faster and do these things while heavily weighed down. The risk is in the fact that any breakdown of form can cause many injuries. You won’t find many bodybuilders doing them as the risk/reward profile isn’t there. If you want to build overall strength there isn’t much better for you than heavy deadlifts. It taxes you posterior chain and central nervous system. It will either break you or make you stronger.
  3. Everyone seems to have us written off and I think it’s funny. The Oilers have great special teams and honestly nit a lot else. If we can stay out of the box and play five on five I see us winning this. Silovs is better than Skinner. Out defence is huge and playing very well. McDiver, Crysaitle and Hyman are really the threat. We have two very good matchup centermen that can take care of that and pot a few at the same time. I think Petey will have far more time and space in this series to light them up as the attention will not be on him after hos last performance. Edmonton can’t handle our depth and that wins in the playoffs. Go Canucks Go!
  4. 5-1 Vancouver Petey is going to face the softest competition after the last round and get the gwg too.
  5. I just want to say that hockey is a team sport. Lindholm and our third line have looked great as they compete against weaker defenders and poorer centers. Petey is not doing everything I would like to see, but he is soaking up abuse from a tough Nashville team and we are up 3-1 while using our third string goalie. I would typically pile on the WTF train here especially after signing the big contract but for once I am going to try something new. At the beginning of the season I thought we might be in the running for Celebrini. Not what I wanted (predicted Canuck wins for every game) and here we are. Management made some good moves and Tochett set the team up for success. I am going to assume that a combination of weaker linemates, heavy opposition and perhaps a minor injury are slowing him down but we are winning and that is all that matters right now. Root for our team and stop picking apart the individuals. Go Canucks Go!!
  6. Can we go crush someone please? That was bullshit taking out Petey. He really hasn’t been doing much anyway but that needs a pushback.
  7. Ok, game 1 in the books and I have a couple things to get out here. First off…I was on team Bo…I was wrong. JT Miller is a leader and our management was right. Secondly, Lindholm was a player that I was happy to see and did not deserve any of the hate since the trade. Kuzzy may score more points but isn’t half the warrior that Elias is for us. Dakota may just be the next big power forward we have all wanted since Bert fell from grace. I think this is only the beginning for him. I had very low expectations on the season at game one of the season but here we are in the playoffs baby. Go Canucks Go!!!!
  8. 4-3 Vancouver Captain Hughes with the winner
  9. Looks like Winnipeg is going to coast into the post season. 5-1 Vancouver GWG - Joshua last goal of post season - Lindholm
  10. 6-1 Vancouver. Huge statement game GWG -Huggy Bear
  11. This is a tougher question than it sounds. Hronek is the most important unsigned player by a pretty wide margin. This being said if he wants to price himself out of Vancouver we should let him. He is a great partner for Hughes but has not really shown an ability to carry a line. Tanev among others have all looked good beside Hughes. He needs to sign a deal that reflects the reciprocal affect of him on the team is. The team is better with him than not and he will not be a #2 dman on a lot of teams. Zadorov is a player I want to keep a lot. He brings the physical play like no one else on the team, has great wheels and has truly fit in here. Price is still a factor, but I am actually more willing to give a slight overpay to big Z than Hronek. Joshua is next on my priorities. He may just be a very discounted top six player. Physical play, reliable in the defensive end, great teammate. I don’t think the recent “slump” (not really much of a slump but definitely not dominating like earlier in the year) is unrelated to Joshua being out. His presence changes games. Lindholm, Blueger, DeSmith have all shown something and should be brought back if the deal is right. Gonna be a very interesting summer in Canuckland.
  12. I think the comparison is far closer than I would have guessed at the beginning of the year. Our center depth is as good or better than 2011. Hughes is the best Dman we have ever seen and the goalies are hard to compare. 2011 Luongo was amazing and bubble Demko may yet reappear. End of the day today’s depths does bot match what 2011 had. Healthy and prepared this team can beat anyone in the league. We have some monsters on the back end to help protect…anything is possible but much like 2011 it will be a war to get to the final. Let’s go!!!!
