  1. I like the Utah Freeze...goes nicely with Utah Jazz...Freeze, Jazz, Freeze, Jazz...rolls nicely...
  2. I said to my wife...if I was Boeser I would've just reached out and bit his stick...leave a reminder behind for him The fact that he did that so stone-faced is hilarious!
  3. If J.Hughes, Barzal or Stutzle was to be coming back our way, well, I think it'd be hard to say no don't you think? JH - 8.00 X 6 MB - 9.15 X 7 TS - 8.35 X 7 Petey's at 11.600 x 8 soooo...the math maths better.
  4. Hey @LaBamba ... no offense bro but, I hope we don't hear your theme song this playoffs
  5. I think if you do a pole, you're a dirty whore. Unless it's a Pole, in which case you're probably just European...
  6. We are playing a MUCH different Edmonton team than we did in the Reg Season. We take penalties (because we play a rough and tough game)...those penalties will sink us against their PP...it's fatal. IF we can stay out of the box more AND limit their dangerous chances when we do get called, we have a chance.
  7. Is it wrong for me to be secretly cheering for the Leaves...I feel dirty...must go shower and scrub clean. Reminds me of Peter Griffin..."I'm a dirty dirty whore"...
  8. I agree we take more penalties than a lot of other teams, but I'd love to see the stats era by era. It was only recently (last decade or so) that the Canucks coaching staff realized the disadvantage we have in our travel schedule (vs. a lot of other teams) and started to do something about it (psychology and physiology). Tired players will take lazy penalties...it's probably a small % more penalties due to being tired, but the habit is there. So any "extra" % of penalty stats that we take more than other teams would therefore need to be adjusted to account for the "tired" factor. But I overall do agree that we are probably in the red zone of teams in the league's supposedly unbiased eyes. It is entertainment after all so hard to get too upset...we just need to capitalize on our chances and do a good job of shutting down our opponent's chances, then there's nothing the refs can do to try to tilt the ice in another team's favour.
  9. 2011 we were screwed. There was nothing we could do. The Director of the Player Safety Committee's son played for the Bruins. Rome takes out Horton and is suspended for the series. Boychuk cross checks Raymond, breaks his back and doesn't even get 2 minutes. And the image of Marchand (the little POS) punching a Sedin in the face RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE REF and no call...pretty much summed up the way the series was going to go. Our offence did dry up in the finals BUT, if the DPS would have just played it fairly and honestly well...who knows. I just hate that politics and nepotism ends up in the game AT ALL, no matter what the finale ended up being.
  10. Truth is, you don't win the cup without winning a game or 2 like this. This effort is what separates the contenders from the pretenders. We will learn from this and be better in the next round. Bring on the Oilers...we OWN them!
  11. 4-1 Jets Toffoli GWG Last goal of the season for VAN: Garland gets his 20th (as if anyone deserves more...unsung hero of the year). It would be nice if Garland gets 1 and Josh gets 2...then both would hit 20.
  12. Well, unfortunately, I think the mentality here might just be...get 1 point and lock up the division (forget about the conference). They'll sit on a lead. So we'll have a 3-2 lead late in the 3rd, take a dumb penalty, get scored on then lose in O/T 4-3 Flamers in O/T with Kuzy getting the GWG
