  1. Hintz and Stankoven have Petey syndrome too though. Hintz has 1 goal and no assists these playoffs (until tonight). Stankoven has 0 goals and 2 assists. Harley and Pavelski are also not contributing offensively. Seguin is also struggling offensively. When you look at actual offensive production, the Canucks are actually doing better than the stars these playoffs.
  2. False. Lafferty doesn't PK. So no, not all three 4th line forwards play a significant PK role.
  3. Shesterkin is too much to overcome right now when he has a really solid and elite team in front of him. It's gonna take a LOT to knock off the Rangers.
  4. Petey's line was the best line on the ice last night (based on analytics). If they keep pushing the play, the goals and points will come. Their line matches up a lot better against EDM than it did NAS.
  5. Like I posted in another thread, it just evens the playing field. We're missing our Vezina caliber goaltender. Only fair they are missing one of either McDavid or Draisatl.
  6. Let's just lay low and keep winning. I know what you're saying though. When the Avs came back and beat Dallas, it was that Mackinnon and Makar lead the way to the amazing comeback. When the Canucks do it, it's "the Oilers collapse lead to Canucks narrow victory".
  7. Game 2 will be a tighter checking affair. I fully expect Skinner to play much better, and same for McDavid. However, I also expect Silovs will also bounce back from a nervous Game 1, and I believe Petey will hit the scoreboard. Something like a 2-1 or 3-2 game IMO.
  8. Yeah, I gotta give credit where credit is due. Ekholm is a heckua defenceman. Absolutely best defenceman on the Oilers. Reminds me of Edler.
  9. Too offensively gifted to remain quiet forever. It's starting to come. That line just needs to keep working hard and push the pace.
  10. The analytics actually show the Petey line as the best in terms of CF%, FF%, HDCF%, etc. They played very well, but just no finish. They just gotta keep pressing. I really feel like they're gonna break out this series.
  11. Haha funny you say that. I LITERALLY felt the same, but I refused to say anything to my wife that was sitting next to me. Hopefully JT keeps doing what he's doing. If he's the anti-McDavid, then we've got a really solid chance of taking this series.
  12. Nah, just pointing out the obvious, and then I just asked a question. Don't know what insults you are referring to.
  13. Yeah that offensive read by Hoglander was terrible. A quick backhand pass and Petey is 1 on 1 with the goalie. Instead, he buttonhooks and turns back and now everyone is back into position.
