  1. Brutal reffing. Kane no penalty for cross-checking Cole down in front of the net before he eventually scored his goal on that shift, and that other Oilers player not called for tripping Soucy, leading to a 3-on-1 resulting in another goal for the Oilers. Refs should try less hard to make it so blatantly obvious they have no integrity
  2. If only we could get 1 good game of reffing in this series. That 1st period was brutal in particular.
  3. If the tables were reversed I wouldn't be. Soucy would have hit McDavid in the chest if not for Zadorov crosschecking McDavid at the same time. That's not a suspension, especially since it was McDavid that escalated the play after Soucy shoved him, by 2 handing Soucy with his stick. League is a joke, and I don't see it ever changing
  4. I was more speaking of the article's assertion than any particular opinion about their actual performance, though I certainly haven't been convinced based on this season that Colliton is much of a great coach
  5. Never knew that getting swept in the 2nd round was a strong post season run...
  6. To be fair, they missed that high stick on Zadorov in the first vs Hyman in front of the net. Regardless, the Canucks got screwed more. Garbage reffing as usual
  7. You realize the reason that statue exists is because of biased officiating against us? aka. whether the statue's there or not, it's always going to be this way (so long as Bettman or anyone like him is in charge). The league doesn't give a shit about the Canucks as it doesn't really provide overall increase to revenue when the Canucks do well, plus the Canucks aren't an original six team, so they don't have a real voice in the league.
  8. I like your optimism that it'll be an evenly reffed series. Ain't gonna happen, but I like your optimism
  9. Another brutal reffing by the clowns. Boeser called for a high sticking on a follow through, which isn't even a penalty, and a weak ass call against Lindholm at that point in the game after not calling plenty of obstruction infractions throughout the game against the Preds. No surprise whatsoever. Not that it's indicative of proper reffing because one team could legitimately be performing more infractions than the other, but in the series the preds had 22 powerplays to the Canucks' 13. What a joke. And mulitple of those against the Canucks weren't even penalties. Preds got away with so many blatant infractions.
  10. The data is literally from the Liberals themselves... I'm not going to bother wasting my time in this thread anymore so you can feel free to remain ignorant of these things. No worries, man.
  11. That's fair. My mistake with regards to that (not that I inherently said that all media in Canada is government funded, but somewhat implied it). Nevertheless, CBC, the TV station that all Canadians can get, is heavily government funded
  12. Math? Math isn't good enough? If it costs more to produce food (due to higher costs of heating using carbon related energy of which costs more due to the tax) then farmers have to charge more. Besides, the fact that if you go grocery shopping you'll know that food prices keep going up for Canadian produce. This isn't as much going to affect imported goods (though it will, due to the increased cost of gas which makes shipping the food cost more, depending on where the gas is obtained and how much is needed to get the food to various municipalities). You just wait a few years and see the results. The latest hike happened a month ago. The effects won't necessarily be obvious immediately. Going to have to wait for that data.
