CDC had its warts but if you stuck around long enough there was a real sense of community amongst it all. The last forum closed down 2 months before my 20 year joining 'anniversary' so I have only got 19 years 10 months to post something decent. Not sure if that's enough time..... Survived the great purge where I went from approx 30k posts down to about 10 (not 10k...10!) and even a few different 'white noise' forums/sites.
