Popular Post RWJC
Canucks: Vasily Podkolzin returns to ice two weeks after concussion Slow and steady appears to be the word for Vancouver Canucks prospect Vasily Podkolzin. The 22-year-old Russian winger has been out of action since a scary incident in a game for the Abbotsford Canucks two weeks ago versus the Colorado Eagles where he hit his head on the ice following a collision with an opposing player. The force of the impact knocked him out momentarily and sent him into convulsion on the ice, alarming everyone — players, fans, coaches, staff — at the Abbotsford Centre. Thankfully Podkolzin quickly regained consciousness, even before he was carted off the ice on a stretcher, bound for medical tests at a nearby hospital. Two weeks later, Podkolzin made a big step forward in his efforts to return to action by joining Abbotsford in practice. He wasn’t a full participant — he was wearing a red jersey, indicating he wasn’t cleared for contact — but his mere presence indicates he’s at step four of the standard five-step return-to-play post-concussion protocol. If Podkolzin goes 24 hours after Wednesday’s practice without concussion symptoms recurring, he would be eligible to move up to the final step of the protocol, taking part in a full practice. And if he goes 24 hours after a full practice without concussion symptoms, he would be eligible to be cleared to play in a game again. A trio of other Abbotsford players were also in non-contact jerseys: Chase Wouters also wore red, while Tristen Nielsen, who has been recovering from a concussion for more than a month, and Aidan McDonough, who suffered an undisclosed injury during the team’s California road trip last week, wore yellow. Danila Klimovich also returned to practice, but was a full participant. Popular Post Crabcakes
Just be careful with Podz. I'm in no hurry to see him play until it is known that he is 100% over this 3 1

gwarrior
Good to hear he's back on the ice. But maybe keep him out a little longer to make sure he's 100%.

Keep it up. Edited November 10, 2023 by Dankmemes187
