  1. Well I also agree that the Oilers use eat crayons.
  2. He's a beaut. I don't know that I've ever seen a player with a motor like his. Pure tenacity too...his size does NOT hamper his ability to fight for the puck. At all.
  3. But he's already given us a lot of value in what he's done so far. So don't just zero in on the here and now. His contract hasn't even kicked in yet. Guys struggle....money/contracts don't make them immune from that. The timing can't be controlled. Do you have sick days at work? Should your salary be adjusted accordingly because sometimes you're off and can't do your job? Why do people want to align contracts with performance by cherry picking the rough patches only?
  4. Oilers fans can't count so it doesn't count.
  5. Let's go!!! I'll be at the game so listen for the rinky dink cowbell. And the kazoo.
  6. People saying Petey is "useless" don't watch for anything other than the highlight reel dangles and goals. YES, we pay him the big bucks to score. Something's going on with him and it's not like he hasn't produced in the past and won't again. Patience. He does do other things well and his defensive game is strong despite that not being his forte. To say he's useless is a useless comment in my view. Highlights don't tell the entire story and he's trying to contribute in other ways. He's also starting to take shots like the old Petey. Do we need him to do more and get on the scoresheet? Of course. Should we jump all over him when he's in a slump for whatever reason? Probably not. We always need a scapegoat it seems. Let's pick apart the other team instead...much more fun.
  7. And you can also use the springboard for diving lessons so you're well prepared in life.
  8. It's a fluke they passed math class. But they probably didn't.
  9. I don't expect this series to be easy....but I never did count the Oilers as the projected winners and still don't. They're mentally fragile. When they're winning, great....they're Kings and golden boys. When they're not, they get pissy and emotional. Whereas our team, when behind, gets determined. I love their attitudes. They don't dive, whine, etc. They play harder. Stay out of the box (reffing was good except the brutal miss on the Hughes slam into the boards....if that's an Oiler, he stays down and gets the call). Love that they got the upper hand in the series though...that's got to be in the Oilers heads. This is 5 in a row this year....right now, we've got their number.
  10. He got the win. The only stat that matters. Not sure why some people try to pick apart a game that they came back in as they did. He regrouped and was part of that win, making some key saves in the third.
  11. I've gotta to try to sleep somehow. I'm worn out (we all are...that was an emotional ride). Saving it for Friday.....will miss y'all but my team needs me. WOOOOOOO!
  12. Apparently the crowd inside when we got the go ahead goal was so loud the lights in the building were shaking.
