We had 35 shots in game 5. That is the shot total we need to win this series. Sure, Demko can win us a series on his own, but we shouldn’t need to rely on goaltending alone to win a cup. I disagree. Other than yesterday our goaltending has not cost us a game. The other two games we lost were because we couldn’t get shots to the net. 19 shots in game 2 and 21 shots in game 4. We can’t expect to win games with shot totals like that.

I don’t agree with this. Boston didn’t win a cup with two starting goalies. It’s hard because you always have to choose which one to play. The teams shooting for the cup this year all have true #1 goalies. Except Edmonton of course. Silovs could be our back up next season. But at some point he needs to be the guy.
