Quality of if life is objectively worse than 8 years ago, GLOBALLY. Between a pandemic, it's supply chain issues, wars, global aging population, climate change costing us billions (floods, fires, crops), corporate profiteering, increasing wage gap etc, etc. Trying to pin that on the minority Liberal government is just ignorant. And no, that's not too say they're without faults. I'm not a Liberal supporter. I am however a facts, common sense and Canada supporter. Now tell me how the even more pro-corporate, anti-worker, social safety net slashing, climate change denying "axe the tax" Conservatives are going to improve things from that list?

As for expansion, this is my thoughts as well...we just contracted and still have issues with full, regular, active participation from all 30 contracted GM's. IMO, we should have those 30 teams active for a season before considering expansion again. I don't want to be yo-yo'ing between expansion and contraction.

Unfortunately the middle of our great nation have turned in to a bunch of me first narcissists with a massive victim complex.

So much this. Liberals are corrupt and waste tax dollars. Conservatives are even more corrupt and also waste (frequently more) tax dollars... while also trying to set us back 50+ years on human rights, and do nothing about climate change that's costing us hundreds of millions every year. Yippee. And ~40% of us evidently think that will be "better". At least the Liberals throw the populace some crumbs in social safety nets etc. But we really DO need better options. I'd have written "deserve better options" but I'm not sure much of the electorate deserves better government than we're currently getting between the two main parties. "We" are mostly emotional, reactionary, ill informed idiots.

We need HOUSING, not just rental housing. This has increased the supply of available housing to purchase. The sheer amount of available units for sale is already putting some downward pressure on prices as well. The government is addressing rental units via other means (like the announcement earlier in this thread for more low income housing). Not every move is going to fix EVERYTHING, right NOW. Make small, incremental improvements over multiple areas, and over time, improve the overall situation. "False hope"... Come on...

Thanks, just came to inform that Psycho that it receives funding from the CANADIAN government. Not the Liberal party. It still received funding under previous Conservative governments as well. And any additional funding it has received recently is also under a minority government, which requires multiple party support to even pass. And as @Miss Korea already pointed out, the VAST majority of news is very much right (and America) leaning. The CBC itself is actually pretty moderate.
