  1. Surovokin flies economy class; noooope! Hard to read anything in to these moves rather than hope it makes a difference.. Shoigu has long been tagged as both corrupt & inept. I'd be happier if these guys started killing each other.
  2. Lots of discussion about Intelligence conflicts related.
  3. Rebuttal is not a solution. While Hamas is alive, Sinwar is in charge; the solution to the crisis is not more layers of blame on Israel. Its not that this should be dismissed. Israel has its accountability. The courts have a chance of restricting Israel. Also international pressure. Their democracy hopefully has the will to change who is in power; a negative impact. Israel is not the only problem. Bad as their behaviour is, there are controls. There is no control over lawless militant groups like Hamas. In which case this crisis will still go on another 80 years. Just as it has been in Yemen, Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, Syria. Whether Bibi is in power or not. You are still ducking the question. There are no solutions without what Palestinians bring to the table to offer peace. What do you got to offer?
  4. This is what Russia produces for internal consumption in Russia. Imagine if that was acceptable script for a TV show in Saskatoon? https://youtu.be/1e5wnt0Ja8Y
  5. Don't duck it; how could they stymie Hamas if Oct 7 was a legitimate threat?
  6. Hamas has 'accepted' a Qatari / Egyptian ceasefire proposal. Not an Israeli one. Not sure how much good that is?
  7. How do you react to these nutjobs? This is an important unanswered issue. What would you do / advise Israel to do...
  8. Here is what is being reported, in my adopted 2knd West Coast home town, as to what can happen with social media. Tragic, a 16 year old, I believe i read, radicalized online before he turned 14. Killed by police in an incident now, two years after he set off a bomb in his high school. Just 3 or 4 km from where we used to live. A respected school people bought homes in to bring their kids too.
  9. For better or worse; this suggests the Rafah crossing in to Egypt is now closed. Youtube link that would not imbed..., Israel attacked and closed the crossing from the Gaza, not Egyptian side. https://youtu.be/zh68orhC5lQ
  10. Lets just say they are / were going to try to shoot them down regardless. But a good headline is a good headline if your name is Vlad. Of course they have not declared war yet on Ukraine? So I guess they just feel they can do anything they want...
  11. Thanks da! Missing Justus Annunen. To my eye we look better on D; them up front. A pretty dead heat when analyzing... G's pretty close but Annunen could tip this thing my way? He would have got game two in the first round had he been available imo.
  12. No, not what I am looking for anyway. Although it is both rampant. More powerfully, guilt tripping large sections of social media movements to support one side. Many with good intentions, ignorant to larger issues. That said, there is less than 1 Jew for every 100 Muslims in the world. Popular opinion supporting Palestine will also have social, religious & an ethnic component. I don't like hard line, profit driven ultra conservative Western govt's profiting in 2knd and 3rd world countries by dominating militarily, politically. This would include Netanyahu, George Bush's, Trump although his foreign policy is whacked. I have a bigger problem, one harder to solve, with feudal like warlords, in this case Islamic militants ruling so many Middle Eastern & African nations. Its not leftist sh!t. I really don't like militants who overthrow courts, democratically elected govt.'s, police to rule territories, whole countries by fear and intimidation. They say its for their tribal / ethnic benefit. 'For the Palestinian,' or Syrian (example) benefit. I don't buy that. These militants, like cartels in Mexico or Venezuela, take payola at every level of the street. Have the police & judicial system both on payola? Plus threat of death instructions to do as told. Which becomes complicated to remove without external peacekeeping. Peacekeeping, not George Bush or Bibi invading. Their supporters companies profiting. I believe those that want peace for Palestine should want militants removed. I believe if you wish for peace for Israel, call to throw out Netanyahu. Each should be policing their own people from abusing their neighbors. When both sides are doing it; the solution is each to start and protecting their neighbor. Blame of one side, when there is plenty of blame on each, solves little.
  13. Georgia's President goes against the govt., introducing pro Russian, anti freedom of press legislation. She says she will veto laws that stifle media as has been introduced in Russia. She says protesters and public as a whole are in favor of Georgia as a Caucasus EU member.
