  1. That's not cool man, I can only assume from your comment that you're at least Gen-X or Boomer. Gotta keep it in mind, we didn't have it as easy as you guys, being able to buy homes for string and buttons. Then you went and fucked up the economy, burning the figurative bridge behind you. We're making due with what we were given, and I'd say my generation has done pretty well for themselves given the literal shit we walked into.
  2. The fact you're too dense to understand that the quality in play from Demko to Desmith is vastly different than Lindholm to whomever is playing his role on the PK is why people are upset lol. That and you're taking their comments super literally for the sake of being argumentative. Ever heard the phrase "you're splitting hairs"? That's exactly what you're doing. You keep doubling down on that position too, which is further riling people up. There's subjective opinion, and then there's objective facts. Demko>Desmith and it's not even close.
  3. Dude, seriously go fuck yourself. You have one response to anyone expressing regret of losing the cup in 2011. "Go to therapy hurhur" "move on". There's people out there still talking about '82 and '94, and having been old enough to remember 2011 ( I was 2 in '94) I get their pain, it's called empathy, maybe you should try it instead of trolling people.
  4. I'm not at all, but I'm sorry that's the connotation you inferred on what I said. Merely taking advantage of someone who is intoxicated is predatory, no matter how you slice it bud.
  5. "But kids make mistakes, its part of being kids. You think Adam Foote taught Cal to do this? No, there's other influences in life, like peer pressure, alcohol, the ignorance of youth which often includes the failure to see consequences ahead of time. Point is people make mistakes, even good kids do bad things, it doesn't make them bad kids forever, and it sure doesn't make them bad humans for their entire life." This is 100% making excuses for their behaviour. They were not "kids" they were borderline adults, and definitely at an age where they should have known better. This is of course if they are guilty. I don't care if you're being "empathetic" if they are in fact guilty, they don't deserve empathy/sympathy, whatever. Sorry, but I don't like apologists who make excuses for things.
  6. OOF dude, the amount of cope here is huge. Stop making excuses for predatory behaviour. Wrong is wrong, period, there's no wiggle room there.
  7. Off-topic but I just saw him in Phoenix in December, have tickets to see him again in Seattle in May lol
  8. Tickets available for tomorrow Dec 8 and Saturday Dec 9 (Star Wars Night) Sec 109 row 15. At cost, 100 per pair. PM for details.
  9. Realistic trade is no trade. We don't need injury prone 34 year old slow defensemen. Love the guy, he's a warrior, but not what we need right now. Sometimes making a trade for the sake of making a trade, isn't a wise decision.
  10. I've been busy the past few games, so I haven't caught much. I'm glad everyone is feeling cheerful, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Definitely enjoy it while it lasts, but we're only 5-2, slight slump and we're right back to .500. I myself am cautiously optimistic of our success, and am glad to see that Calgary and Edmonton is struggling mightily, it is definitely a boon for us for them to slump while we excel. I'm waiting for the 20 game mark to sort of let my guard down a bit, because we all know how quickly things can change. I'm hoping by that point that we're still firmly in a playoff position and that we're still playing this well by then. After this years pre-season it looked like we were doomed for another horrid start, so this is refreshing to see.
  11. Oooof I hope you're joking, that's a dog shit trade for us. You're gutting our AHL depth for an over the hill, injury prone 34 year old D-man, and I like Tanev, but that is as short-sighted as they come. Abby has a real chance at doing some damage in this years playoffs, and they're going to need guys like Mcdonaugh, Karlsson and Klim.
  12. Man, you've got some reading comprehension issues dude. I'm not saying I know better than Tocchet at all, never once said that. I've been very clear that I don't share his assessment over the effort level of our team, not that he's a bad coach or doesn't know what he's talking about. Regarding the gambling thing, you were the one that said he was an honest man, and I rebutted that by pointing out that he pled guilty to a conspiracy, something that HONEST MEN don't do lmfao, so it is relevant to your comment. Don't bring shit up if you don't want me to dunk it back down on you. And I'm trying to show you that just because he's a coach, doesn't mean his opinion of something is infallible. Also, the whole anti-vaxxer thing is completely different entirely. That's people just making things up to suit their own agenda, and spreading misinformation. I'm just disagreeing with the mans assessment level on the teams effort level. You cannot convince me that the team tried their hardest when they had 10 shots on goal after 55 minutes of play.
  13. Yeah, I meant to include that in there, that I wouldn't make the same mistakes with my kids, but a whole new set of mistakes lol.
  14. To be fair, a good number of the millennial generation are entitled, there's no getting around that. The problem is we all get painted with the same brush. If I'm being honest, the boomer generation is the most entitled generation I've dealt with in my life, I take calls from them on the daily @ work.
  15. Yeah, you're right. Just hate how our generation gets 0 respect from the generation that raised us, and how they refuse to take any responsibility for how we turned out. I'm not making the same mistake with my kids, that's for sure.
