Probably telling that he didn't get called up either by Allvin. I dont expect the team to qualify him in June. He was sorta ordinary in Abbotsford.

Tonight's win was the first game where I was like damn, the team is dominating and they deserve this win because they were lights out good in all three zones all game long...cough cough cept for Cole.

I hope tonight is Ian Cole's last game as a Canuck.

IMO trade Hronek. If he is commanding 7+ mil...use that to bring in Tanev and another dman. Trade Hronek for assets a top six scorer or trade him straight up. Hughes doesn't need Hronek...Quinn will do his shit with or without Hronek on his pairing. Hughes can go ppg in his sleep with a broom as his partner.

Canucks haven't found their highest gear yet solely because Elias Pettersson is having a crisis of faith in himself. Thought that powerplay goal would get him going. We've seen Sidney Crosby take Kunitz and Pascal Dupuis and make them superstar complementary scorers. McDavid took a 50 point Zach Hyman and made hima 50 goal scorer. Elite players will find ways to elevate the players around them...Pettersson is failing to do that at the moment. Yes the deployment of his wingers has been mystifying but if you pay him to be a top player on this team...he needs to start pulling his weight. He hasn't. The only reason Nashville stuck around 6 games and that Edmonton hasn't been buried in 4 is Petterson's absence. Not sure what else to do for him. He has been forced fed the lotto line and actually has dragged Miller and Boeser's game down. Hoglander and Garland were going but Petey couldn't sustain it. He has been the biggest disappointment this playoffs.

Have the Canucks actually put their best foot forward yet? They've had strong periods, and strong stretches of play....but I haven't really walked away this post season yet thinking...wow we deserved that win cause we played really well for majority of that game.

Would like to see Pettersson taken off PP1 and put Lindholm in his spot and have Joshua or Suter as the bper player. Pettersson is killing momentum for us. I get you're trying to get him going but his play offensively is detrimental.

Please split up Hughes and Hronek. They are a defensive mess together. Losing battles and blown coverages all game long.

Beyond Zadorov, all the 5 dman were really really bad tonight. Legit like none of the 5 other dman could move the puck or defend to save their life. Hughes - too slow to move the puck, held onto it too long in a lot of situations and got stripped or out muscled Hronek - couldn't move the puck out the zone numerous of times and lost all his battles Myers - He is so uncoordinated. You either get stellar play or bewildering play from him. Soucy - guy looks lost out there for a 2nd straight game. Missed assignments and making bad reads in all three zones, the worst of the 5 tonight. Cole - just doesn't look quick enough to make the right plays off his stick or reads defensively. Just molasses out there.

Im not sure...I was listening to sportsnet radio and Thomas Drance alluded to having 3 recalls for the playoffs. Im trying to find the CBA language around it but don't see anything to be honest. But usually you don't see many in the playoffs but a mass recall usually. I would certainly hope though that they recall up a lot of guys from Abbotsford. Lots of players deserve it. Would even say some AHL base contracts deserve it too like Chase Wouters and Marc Gatcomb (althought they can't be recalled).

Maybe? The group above are guys who have seen NHL games and are experienced. I believe the recalls in the playoffs are limited to 3 in the postseason. No recalls have been used yet for the playoffs as Silovs and Tolopilo were both used as emergency recalls.

The only thing that would've made yesterday perfect was hearing Shorty make the comeback call. HNIC, ESPN, TNT, and sportsnet french radio do not convey any level of enthusiasm of the spectacular comeback. So monotone and almost disappointed that we did. Shorty is a beauty, miss his calls already. He made round 1 magical to listen to.

Reinforcements for the parent club coming up. Dries, Podkolzin, Karlsson, Bains, Wolanin, Brisebois, Irwin i'd imagine

Pettersson and his line need to start contributing or this series becomes a short one in Edmonton's favor. Petey seem to find his legs a bit late in the series as did Hoglander and Mikheyev. But we can't afford them to have another slow start to this series. We need everyone all in and they are the lone trio that hasn't really made a mark this post season. We need more from them, and its time they show up in a big way Wednesday. Pettersson is the big swing factor in this series. Miller and Lindholm I think can win their matchup against McDavid and Draisaitl but thats when we need to capitalize on Pettersson vs McLeod.

Players are getting in their own way. Poor execution on the powerplay, self-inflicted penalties because they stopped moving their feet or lack of discipline, and just sloppy plays in the ozone leading to one and done plays. This team's lack of offensive depth is getting exposed but a hungry and tenacious Predators team. They simply wanted it more.

This has been a horrific second period. This team can't seem to get a grip here

Canucks still tied with the Preds inspite of their number one powerplay unit. They are making this game far too complicated for themselves.
