Huggy Bear
As we ice a more NHL calibre lineup in games 4-6, what duos should anchor our bottom six? Suter-Garland have the potential to form a two way, depth scoring line. Blueger- Beau seems rich for a 4th line, but do they compliment each other? Given Blueger’s strong showing in Edmonton, do you want him paired with a more defensive winger?
Nucker67
I wouldn't mind seeing as a 3rd Line DiGiuseppe - Blueger - Hoglander I think they'd be fast, aggressive
DrJockitch
Our 4th line will be Blueger and the 2 penalty killing wingers that Tocchet likes the best.

Blueger - PDG makes sense as a pairing in either scenario.
Pears
I like the idea of a Joshua-Blueger-PDG line a lot.

I like Blueger, Beau and Garland, they have tenacity and skill to play our third line for added offence, however, I am not convinced Boeser stays in the top six TBH. Garland or Beau may find them selves playing higher in the line up at some point of the season. I think a couple of big wingers and Suter round out the fourth line.

Would rather take a long patient look at Högs since he’s waiver eligible. so you see Suter - Garland and Blueger - Joshua as the bottom 6 pairs? Wonder if Joshua has responded well enough to earn a job / part of a pairing. He makes sense with Blueger on a checking line and on the PK.

While Mikheyev will improve any line, I am intrigued by putting him with Miller. As others have mentioned, he’s like an upgraded PDG there, making it a better matchup line, and freeing up PDG for the bottom six.

Yeah I watched him last year in Vegas and he did seem like a great checking center but his play here he seems to have more jump and the ability to generate more offense with his speed and smarts. Thats why I would like to see him with Beau and Garland , two others who have speed and the smarts to create offensive plays.

Beau - Petey - Kuz Garland - JTM - Boeser Then surround these 3 with the most physical defensive wingers? (eg. PDG, Joshua, Studnicka,Åman) Suter - Höglander Blueger

I like that it’s an intentional identity for that line, speed and smarts. When Blueger was originally signed, he was pencilled in as 3C. After seeing him in Edmonton, I can picture it.

I wanted him centering a third checking line but that's looking like it may be Suter's line. Definitely want him with a good defensive winger. Do we have any of those or did we make a trade I missed?

I think the internal candidates are Joshua, PDG or Åman. Ideally, we’d trade for a more proven, physical PK specialist like Yakov Trenin.
