sometimes u can get lucky and find chemistry in a line....that chemistry elevates induvidual pieces to be better then the strength of them as individuals. PDG-Miller-BB seems to have that chemistry, they showed it durin the preseason and it has carried on early on....hopin it will continue throughout the season.

A tricky thing is to predict how many points PDG will get this year. I still have a feeling he's an AHL forward who's  just found amazing chemistry and a perfect role, yet he could easily get 30-40 points. His best season for sure was his rookie year (2015-16) when he had 18 points in 41 games, on pace for 36 points. He had a bad sophomore slump and rebounded a little in his 3rd year. After that, it felt like he kept on struggling to get back to his best, but he may have found that rookie-PDG level again here in Vancouver.

Now, if only Myers could get back to his rookie level...

PDG over Podkolzin, I just don't understand!

At this point PDG is still more responsible defensively than Podkolzin which is likely what they wanted for the 4th line game 1. The 4th line saw very heavy d-zone starts last night. However, hopefully they slot Podkolzin in next game as getting him experience is definitely more important long-term than plugging in PDG right now.

Pods is a bigger body and has decent speed. PDG not as good there but he doesn't give up much. He has a better offensive upside. They might wait until Nashville to put him in.

Everything I find still lists Podkolzin at 6'1" 190 lbs. He looks bigger than this and hits harder than that as well.
