A blood clotting issue is most likely a blood clot. If it is then his season is over and he won't be back until next year. It takes months to be clear of a blood clot. Ok let's hope not but.. You can't retain money on Mik it defeats the purpose. You have to do a 3 team deal where you give up a 2nd or 3rd to a team who will retain half and then flip Mik at 50% to a 3rd team for another pick. Canucks get him off the books completely at the cost of a 2nd or 3rd. The middle team gets a pick from us and a pick from the 3rd team in exchange for eating 50% of his salary for 2 years. The team that winds up with Mik gets him for 50% cap hit at the cost of a pick. That's what is likely to happen.

The Oilers dismissed our 3 game early win streak against them in the regular season. Then they dismissed our final win against them. They haven't beaten the Canucks in regulation in 7 tries but they still act like they are the favorites and will win without question. Absolutely blind over confidence will be their undoing. These chumps are finally going to have to accept reality when they are shaking the Canucks hands after losing the series. Lol. That is going to be beautiful baby!

Pettersson is not getting traded. Period. That is not going to happen in a million Sundays. He just signed an 8 year extension. Give your head a shake. And while you are at it think about the fact that his numbers in regular season in his first 6 years are miles ahead of where the Sedins were in their first 6 years. Miles ahead. His playoff numbers this year are like there's were in their younger years. The Sedins didn't become great playoff performers until age 27. Petey will learn how to hack it in the playoffs and will become a point per game playoff guy in the next couple of years. He has superior talent and is a slight young guy who has to grow up and learn how to hack it in the meatgrinder that is the playoffs. Book it. And why would you propose trading him? Your proposal assumes Ottawa will give a solid return. If they would do the trade they obviously believe Pettersson will become the great player he will eventually grow into. Makes no sense. Pathetic. Refs were terrible. Wow. Sutherland cost us tonight. Who could have possibly seen that coming when he was pulled out of another series to ref here tonight? Add in McDavid diving when bumped by Suter which cost us a penalty and add in McDavid knocking Zadorov down at centre ice with no penalty called. Blah. I love this team but I hate watching such a crappy league.

Cole has been directly responsible for 4 goals against in 2 games including the game winner tonight. C'mon. He needs a night off. Juulsen can play.

No matter what the Oilers do the Canucks need move forward with an unwavering belief that they are going to win.
