  1. I'd rather give Zadorov term and security, and lower the cap hit. I wonder if he would take 5Mx7 years, with some sort of trade. I can see this summer being a summer of losses for Allvin and Rutherford. Hopefully they have backup plans just in case the signings for Zadorov, Lindholm, Joshua, etc don't work out.
  2. I've just come to accept that this year's version of the Canucks is going to be the best that we'll see the next 3-4 years. Two of those years will be when OEL's cap hit will be at its highest on the team. I'm not looking forward to that at all.
  3. No to bringing him back unless he comes back at cheaper than that. His play this postseason has been less than impressive.
  4. Yea, i agree. Hronek's shown what kind of player shows up under duress and pressure in these playoffs, and his game doesn't look good, not even from a fan's perspective.
  5. Räty's gotta prove that he can earn a spot in the line up. What if he doesn't, who fills that spot that Lindholm would leave open?
  6. I think we could probably get more for a 26 yo RHD, no?
  7. Well he did a good job with Abby while he was there. I'm not surprised that he's looking for an NHL coaching opportunity. There's a lot of opportunity in the league with so many coaches having lost their jobs.
  8. Probably yes. I'd be willing to trade Hronek this off-season if he doesn't ease off his demands. He's not an 8M defenseman. This postseason he's been absolute ass. Bobbling pucks, getting beat, not shooting the puck, etc. He's the very definition of a bad contract in the making. No thanks. Pass. I'd rather have no RHD than have Hronek.
  9. Is it just me, or are we just as slow getting to pucks as last game? Doesn't look good, though for us. Still a lot of time left, but Oilers look very good. Took the lead 10 min into the first period, and then again taken the lead into the first intermission. If we lose this game, I think we lose the series. Something about game 4 that has shaken this team even more. Well, it was a good run. Not sure we'll have this kind of success in the playoffs next year, or whether we even get to the playoffs next season. We'll see.
  10. Not sure if McWard is going to replace Hronek. If Hronek is traded, they're going to have to get assets back to try to get another RHD.
  11. I wonder if any of those guys that are becoming UFA's will take a hometown discount to stay with a potential contender in Van.
  12. I think as the cap rises, management will surround him with a better team. I trust Allvin and Rutherford to do the right things, and the good work. And no, I don't think we should trade Petey. This is, his second time making the playoffs if you include the Bubble playoffs? Hughes is going to cost more than Petey does eventually.
