For those of you not on discord... With the TDL approaching I would like to finally announce the entry draft schedule. Depending on how things go this may change for next season. We will be doing 1 round per day over a 5 day period, with time slots for each pick. This will allow for everyone to know when they're on the clock so they won't have to be stuck at their screen all day to avoid missing their selection. FIRING The Toronto Maple Leafs fire AGM @Patrick Kane .. We have found out he is a much better player than he is an AGM. Ever since he came back from IR he puts absolutely no effort into this role. We feel this move is needed so he can put all of his focus on the ice, and help lead us to a GML Championship! HIRING The Toronto Maple Leafs hire @PeteyBOI as our new AGM. We feel he has a lot to bring to the table, and are really excited to have him as our AGM.

Vancouver Canucks Acquire ALEXANDER NIKISHIN! The Canucks have just made another major trade. However this one carries a lot of risk, and they paid a hefty price. If Nikishin comes over to North America I'm sure fans will be thrilled, but right now #FIREGMGATOR is trending on Twitter. Shortly after the trade got announce this is what GM Gator had to say: "We are very excited to get this deal done. Nikishin is a guy we feel can be a real game changer on the ice. We understand some may have concerns about whether or not he will come over to NA, but we are going to do what we can to get him over here. There's risk in every move though. We understood the risks and felt the price was worth paying. I guess we will see down the road if it pays off." There's no doubt if Nikishin comes over Vancouver fans will forget about all the pieces they've lost. This kid is legit, and can play any style of hockey you want. He can play the physical game, or the skilled game, and do both at a very high level. However, the Canucks just acquired Olen Zellweger & David Jiricek within the last few weeks. So it leaves fans wondering if this major overpayment was worth it. They already had 4 very talented D prospects in Zellweger, Jiricek, Nemec, and Gulyayev in the system. When asked about it GM Gator had this to say: "Look, when you have the opportunity to add a defender with this kind of talent you just do it. I mean within reason of course. It sucks to lose some of those pieces for sure, but thats the business of our game. You have to bite the bullet sometimes and make these tough decisions. I truly believe this group will be ready to compete in 2-3 years, and Nikishin may be that piece that helps put us over the top. Every trade has their risks. Some more than others. We feel this was a risk worth taking. If he does come over he's going to be a difference maker. There's no doubt about it to me. He is that good... And if he doesn't, I'm sure I'll hear about this trade for many years to come." Well it looks like Canuck fans will be anxiously awaiting the Nikishin decision. If he doesn't come over GM Gator may be looking for a new GM job. Possibly in the KHL with Nikishin. In all seriousness though, I like the team being built there. A lot of solid young players coming up. Will be a very interesting team to watch develop over the next few years. Whether this trade pans out or not I'm sure the Canucks will be fine. For now I think we should all just leave GM Gstor alone. Save our judgement for later, and let's see how this all unfolds. We heard the last 5 people that egged his house went missing.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are ecstatic to bring in Michael Amadio & Eetu Luotsarinen to the team as we push towards our ultimate goal, the GML Championship! Both players will provide some much needed depth in our bottom 6. We still have some very solid prospects in the cupboard, along with several draft picks. If the right deals present themselves we will be open to pulling the trigger. CURRENT LINEUP AHL PLAYOFF DEPTH Phil Kessel? Matt Kessel? Ben Hutton William Lockwood Jake Livingstone? We are looking to upgrade Colin Miller. Willing to package him with 1 or more future pieces to get that done. He could then be used or flipped as a potential playoff asset, and has 2 years of term left. We are also looking to maybe package a couple playoff forwards together like Smith & Copp (Smith likely dealt by Pens) for a top 6 forwards. Also in the market for a goaltender if 1 becomes available. As of now we are pretty happy with where our team is at as we head into the final stretch of the season. If we can improve we will always try and get something done, but we won't be looking to make any overpayments for mid guys. As for our fans. This is it guys. We told you guys this would be our year, and we feel like we have delivered on our promise. All we can do is ice the best team possible and hope they prevail. We are very excited with the team we have put together here, and feel we should be among this year's betting favorites.
