  1. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT It has been decided that team morale WILL NOT be used in the offseason. However it is VERY likely to be used starting next season. So I wanted to let everyone know how it will affect them when it gets implemented. Depending on how you rank in team morale will determine a lot about a players willingness to sign/extend with your team. Think of it as ranking yourself from the Canucks to the Coyotes irl (not giving Leafs props). If you have a poor team morale your young players may not want to sign long term, and your vets will likely seek other opportunities. Players may actually start demanding trades if it gets too bad.. If you're on the high end, your young players will be more inclined to sign long term, vets will likely be willing to give a little to stay and Chace a cup, etc.. This does not mean every guy will sign steal contracts. Players situations are still taken into affect (money, role, term, etc). This is still a new system, and even after 1 year of tweaking it there will likely be small changes here and there over the first few seasons. The formula right now seems to be working as intended. The penalty system will be the primary focus to perfecting the team morale system and that is being worked on as we speak. There should be a new penalty system announced in the coming days, and once it is all teams will be reset to "0" penalty level so we can trial this new system from scratch. Team Morale will not be used this year, so any penalty given will not affect anything until next season. Don't be afraid to request a player to waive their clause, or trade a player with a clause. Use this year as a trial to see the effects it could have on your team morale next season. Things will surely get added or changed with the penalties as the years go on. Any questions feel free to ask. This is going to be a big part of the league. So we need GMs to have an idea of how it works.
  2. "Important dates" has been posted. Subject to change.
  3. Maple Leafs place Andreas Athanasiou on IR https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/blackhawks
  4. Pending trade Vancouver calls up F Sean Farrell.
  5. Bored so feel like taking a crack at this GMing thing to turn this team into a cup winner TO ANY1 Kuzmenko TO VAN Best pick(s) offered -------------------------- TO ANY1 Garland TO VAN Best pick(s) offered -------------------------- TO ANY1 Myers TO VAN Best pick(s) offered -------------------------- Cap space freed up ($16.45m) -------------------------- Now for the fun part... TO VAN Elias Lindholm ($4.85m) TO CGY Aatu Raty 2024 1st round pick Hopefully this would be enough to convince Calgary to move their pending UFA to their division rival. They owe us 1. They literally have like 10 ex Canucks over there!.. May have to look at ways to sweeten the deal though.. -------------------------- TO VAN Vladimir Tarasenko ($5m) Jakob Chychrun ($4.6m) TO OTT Vasily Podkolzin Hunter Brzustewicz 2025 1st round pick It is a lot, but may not even be enough. With Tarasenko being a UFA, and Chychrun rumored to want out, I feel we should look at getting both of them in Vancouver to help propel us to a Stanley cup. We would be getting 2 years out of Chychrun, and have a chance to get Tarasenko on a team friendly extension. -------------------------- TO VAN Pat Maroon ($1m) TO MIN Pick(s) Get this guy over her to immediately boost our cup odds. Nuff said Lines after trades... Miller Pettersson Boeser Mikheyev Lindholm Tarasenko Joshua Blueger Hoglander Maroon Suter Lafferty Hughes Hronek Chychrun Zadorov Cole Soucy ?????? Demko DeSmith Would have enough cap space to acquire a Dman with an aav of $1m or less for that #7D role, or just promote from within. Not sure what options are out there at that price range atm so I'll leave it up for conversation. It would suck to lose Garland for sure, but I feel Hoglander could fill his shoes. When he's on his game he brings that same kind of intensity you see from Garland on a consistent basis. In a perfect world we keep Garland, but feel we would be better off using the cap on a guy like Tarasenko and/or Lindholm. Interested to hear your thoughts and/or criticism

  8. @Relyt Krets @Rick Blight You cannot change captain's mid season. Captain's can only be announced in offseason due to boosts. It's done this way to prevent teams from changing captain's simply to maximize their boost at the end of the year.
  9. Maple Leafs willing to overpay in futures for a solid #1 goalie on a good team. Kings soon to be #1 Erik Portillo could be had in the deal
