  2. GATOR'S AGENCY Ben McCartney is entering into phase 2/3 of negotiations.
  3. The Vancouver Canucks couldn't be more proud. Jiricek solidifies our core 4 on the backend for years to come. We paid a lot more than we were initially hoping, but when you know it's a guy you want, sometimes you just have to bite that bullet. Gulyayev may be a few years away, but we definitely see him being the 4th guy of our core 4 on the back end. O. Zellweger - D. Jiricek M. Gulyayev - S. Nemec We have a lot of solid prospects in the system as it is, along with a few very promising goalie prospects. We may be a couple years away from some playoff hockey, but we see a very bright future here in Vancouver. We believe this group could be the ones that finally lead this city to the promise land. We just need to stick to the vision, and find the right forwards to add to thi mix. We already have Jack Hughes, and a few exciting prospects. We're not far off!
  4. CALL UP: Maple Leafs call up D Matt Kessel
  5. SIGNING The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed F Liam Foudy to a contract extension Contract Duration: 2 years Annual Salary: $850,000
  6. Connor Brown has been dealt, and the trade block has been updated. Petry - Late 1st + Prospect + replacement player (or equivalent) Chiarot - Late 1st + Prospect + replacement player (or equivalent) Gregor - Late 2nd + replacement player (or equivalent) Smith - Late 2nd + replacement player (or equivalent) Scandella - 4th + replacement player (or equivalent) Perunovich - We arent necessarily shopping him but if we are able to acquire a blue chip D prospect we may be willing to move on. We are very high on Perunovich, and feel like will be something special if he can stay healthy. ** Prices may come down closer to TDL, but we won't sway much, if at all on current prices until then **

  9. VANCOUVER CANUCKS TRADE BLOCK Potential Playoff players otb (DET) Jeff Petry - PIT, NYR, CHI, SEA, COL, MIN, NSH, ANA, PHI, BOS (DET) Ben Chiarot - FLA, CGY, CBJ, BUF, MTL, OTT, COL, NYR, ARZ, TBL (SEA) Brandon Tanev - CAR, CBJ, EDM, BUF, WPG, DAL, BOS, TBL, ARZ, LAK (TOR) Noah Gregor (STL) Scott Perunovich (DAL) Craig Smith (STL) Marco Scandella - STL, CBJ, SEA, CHI, MIN, WSH, NYR, TOR, WPG, BUF Seeking picks/prospects + replacement players **Scott Perunovich is only available if the price is right. Our minimum ask is a late 1st + blue chip prospect + replacement player. We understand that's a steep price, but there's a reason we took him in round 8 of the fantasy draft. We believe this kid is going to do good things.
  10. Can't wait until he's #1 in my system so I can over use this GIF
  11. Vancouver places claim on F Fredrik Olofsson
  12. Disappointed I can't find a GIF of him bench pressing the net
  13. I have a few. Just none for you
  14. Assignment: The Vancouver Canucks send down F Sean Farrell to Abbotsford. No Waivers required.
  15. ACTIVITY CHECK For those not on discord you can just react to this post to confirm your activity for the recently posted AC.
  16. Sorry I'm late to the activity check. Was busy planning a parade!
  17. Craig Smith available for best pick offered + replacement player for anyone seeking playoff help
  18. Team Morale isn't going to be a factor this year or in the offseason, so don't sweat the penalty. This offseason will be treated similar to GML where things like PR budget, team success, role, money, term, etc will be a factor. Penalties reset to 0 every year so anything you get this year won't effect next year.
  19. Call Up: The Vancouver Canucks call up D Olen Zelleweger
  20. As for being penalized for trading a player with Clauses that will stay. The reason for this is a player is signing with your team over 31 other clubs. They didn't sign with the 3 or 10 clubs that they have on their lists. That's just their bit of protection incase the GM doesn't honor the contract they agree to. No the penalties are not that harsh for moving these guys to a team on their list. However requesting they waive their clause and then trading them could have a big impact. Now there are ways to relieve yourself of accumulated penalty points. Finish top 10 in any given month, make playoffs, and winning a playoff round.. It is even being discussed about the possibility of completely wiping the champions slate clean (by resetting penalty level to 0 before offseason freeze) as a way to reward to the GFL winners. Also keep in mind that Penalties reset every season to 0. There is something being discussed about teams starting with a small penalty the following year after finishing in the bottom 10, but nothing set in stone. Going to be a lot of fun changes going into year 2, and I think it'll be a very interesting season. A lot of room for improvement for sure, but that'll come through trial and error, and conversation.
  21. ***Changes have been made to the penalty system.*** +1 POINT Bottom 6-10 of league standings for each particular month. Trading a player with a NTC. Failure to respond to activity check after week. 1 point for each additional day. Disciplinary action. +2 POINTS Bottom 2-5 of league standings for each particular month. Requesting a player to waive a NTC. Trading a player you signed or extended as a UFA within the last 181-365 days. Trading a player with a NMC. Disciplinary action. +3 POINTS Last place of league standings for each particular month. Requesting a player to waive a NMC. Trading a player you signed or extended within the last 91-180 days. Disciplinary action. +5 POINTS Trading a player you signed or extended within the last 90 days. Disciplinary action. -1 POINT Top 10 of league standings for each particular month. Make the playoffs. Win a playoff round I will be updating current CBA with this shortly just for easier reference. Team Morale will not be used until next season begins, so any penalties giving for this year essentially has no effect, and the system is only being used atm to practice in the live environment.
  22. NEW PENALTY SYSTEM +1 POINT Bottom 6-10 of league standings at end of month. Trading a player with a NTC. Failure to respond to activity check after 1 week. 1 point for each additional day. Disciplinary action. +2 POINTS Bottom 2-5 of league standings at end of month. Requesting a player to waive a NTC. Trading a player you signed or extended as a UFA within the last 181-365 days. Trading a player with a NMC. Disciplinary action. +3 POINTS Last place of league standings at end of the month. Requesting a player to waive a NMC. Trading a player you signed or extended within the last 91-180 days. Disciplinary action. +5 POINTS Trading a player you signed or extended within the last 90 days. Disciplinary action. Subject to change. We expect things to be added to this over the next few seasons to help perfect the team morale system. As situations and ideas arise, they may be added to this. If you have any suggestions please feel free to share them. Don't expect all ideas to get used, buse the more suggestions we get, the more discussion that can be had to make the system even better!
