  1. We would not be ahead in this series if we didn't have Zadorov on the ice. He has been a major part of our success so far. Without him, we likely would have gone to 7 games with Nashville and good chance we don't make it through. Has been highly effective for us at both ends of the rink.
  2. Kane absolutely should have received a fine and a warning after the slew foot on Hughes in Game 2. It was a dangerous play. If Hughes was injured, then they would have done a suspension, but there should have been some league action against the overall play. Something to remind players that they watch replays.
  3. I would say that Juulsen is the 2nd hardest hitter on the team after Zadorov. When he connects, the receiver feels it.
  4. Overall, Soucy is better defensively than Juulsen, but we have been completely good when Soucy is out of the lineup with Juulsen in in his place. The biggest thing with Juulsen is control. When he plays a simple game and doesn't go looking for hits, just takes them as they come, he's solid. When he goes hit hunting, he takes himself out of position.
  5. I'm completely good with Juulsen stepping into the lineup. Physically, he hits harder than Soucy does.
  6. Soucy will be suspended, the question is, for how long. There's an argument to be made that his intention was to push him and that he was aiming high chest but the hit from Zadorov dropped him lower and it was all timing. The exchange that I saw was, McDavid was right there, Soucy give him a little push and McDavid responded with a 2 handed slash (which he should probably get a fine for, but won't) then Soucy was just about to crosscheck McDavid in the chest, but the hit from Zadorov altered trajectory of where it landed. I'm hoping 1 game, I'm expecting NHL will decide to make an example and do like 3 games. They only like to set an example when it's Canucks involved. There could have been a fine to Kane after game 2 for a dangerous slew foot on Hughes, but nothing.
  7. Edmonton is getting away with SOOOO much with the Refs. Kane slew foot on Hughes, McDavid high stick on Hughes, boarding on Pettersson in the 1st.
  8. Tonight, we are going to score 1st, and we're going to put them back on their heels. Including the regular season, we are now 5 and 0 against the Oilers this year and that has to be starting to work on their minds. No stupid penalties tonight, keep out of the box. Get the puck deep and work their D in the corner. They are not a good defensive team inside their own zone as we saw all season long. They struggle with speed on the forecheck and are highly subject to turnovers. 5-3 Canucks and head to Edmonton up 2 - 0 in the series. For all the doubters: GO CANUCKS GO!!!!
  9. It's on management, but we're still going to fire the coach and give ourselves raises....
  10. Sooooo, Shanahan takes the blame for their early exit, but meh....we're firing the coach anyway...
  11. I think they really want Zadorov and Joshua back. Hronek, we have some leverage with in that he's an RFA. Even if he decided to go arbitration and get a 1 year deal, we can still trade him before it expires. It does put more pressure on us, but it can be done.
  12. Did we re-sign this guy yet? Somebody get Allin and the rest of the chipmunks on the phone, let's get this done! Character guy, he just needs to be here!
  13. I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that the coach is NOT the problem!
  14. Management to the Leaf's coaching staff, year over year...
