  1. Lindholm has been our 4-5th best player and Zadorov 6-7th in these playoffs and both have had a huge impact. I don't miss Kuzmenko(though I loved his spirit), Jurmo, Brzustwicz, the 4th rounder, 3rd rounder, 5th rounder, or the 27th OA. Lindholm and Big Z are so worth it. Now that we are experiencing it for the first time in a while, I had forgotten the incredible emotion of winning playoff hockey games. Arm-chair gm's with their hand-wringing about draft picks and prospects hopefully are seeing what Rutherford and Allvin clearly see. When you have a shot, even a remote one, the ride is worth it.
  2. I agree, Blueger has made a lot of great plays and gets completely ignored in these playoffs. His PK work and his forcheck and responsibility are finally getting rewarded. Go Canucks Go!
  3. In Noah we Trust! He just needs to play simple, tough and not put the puck up the middle. He is better than Ceci, Kulak, Desharnais and on many nights Nurse. We will be fine.
  4. If the league were smart, which they ain't, they would give McDavid $5000 fine for the slash and then nobody would have anything to complain about. But, of course, they will do nothing and leave us once again, with good reason, thinking that the deck is stacked against us. It is such a joke that Ryan got nothing for a play that is very dirty and nobody ever does, but Zadorov gets a fine for a very common play that just happened to be on the leagues poster boy. What about the Kane slew foots in game 2? How can the clowns in the league office keep getting away with this? Why don't Aquilini and Rutherford do something?
  5. My take: Silovs did not struggle, had no chance on first 3 and 4th was 50-50. Cole had a bad 1st half but was fine after that. Petersson had his best game of the playoffs, but needs his wingers to do more. Our D is better than theirs. Our coaching staff is better than theirs. Our 3rd string goalie is at least as good as their no. 1. Bluegar is a really good player who is getting ignored on the 4th line but he does a lot of very good things on pk and defensively. Suter looks like he is finally starting to get a groove with BB and JT. I barely noticed Perry, Kane, or McDavid for most of the game. Our team defense made them disappear. Go Canucks Go!
  6. I know I'm biased and this probably isn't worth much, but here goes. Goaltending Canucks 3 goalies all have a higher save % than Skinner. Advantage Canucks Defense Canucks top pair is better than their top pair and our bottom 4 are huge and solid. Advantage Canucks Forwards Oilers top line is maybe the best in Hockey, tough to beat. Advantage Oilers They say defense and goaltending win championships and I don't think many knowledgeable hockey people would say the canucks don't have the advantage, so I am having a hard time seeing why everybody thinks they will wipe us out. I think its based on a long time bias towards McDavid and the way they dismissed the Kings. Neither of those things have anything to do with this series. I think we have a good chance Canucks in 6!!! Go Canucks Go!!!
  7. After ignoring a blatant crosscheck on Garland behind the Preds net earlier, the call on Lindholm was an absolute joke! Bettman must have called it in
  8. It was 1 game. He didn't suck, he just didn't play like a star. He didn't cost us a game or anything. In 2011, one series Edler was a total beast, others were in the background, another series Kesler dominated, and so on. Just enjoy a Canucks victory and don't feel the need to crap on anybody. We need all our our positive energy willing the team to win.
  9. It's just weird to conjure up this topic at this time, because he didn't have the best game in 1 game. What's the point at this point? Go Canucks Go!
  10. Only Canucks fans would be proposing to trade a top team player after a game 1 win in the playoffs. Wtf, it's just sad!
  11. Quinn Hughes has the 3rd most points by a defenseman since 1993-94. 30 years. This is incredible and I don't think nearly enough is being said about that. Norris Trophy slam dunk, and should get some votes for the Hart.
  12. Willander had 2 assists and +3 yesterday while his BU team won their first round game in the Frozen 4 tournament 6-3.
  13. Those 7 plus Friedman, Irwin, Woo, McWard, Wolanin, etc... will be solid in the playoffs.
  14. Canucks fans are like a teenager who asks for concert tickets for Christmas in October and then feels sad and empty when there is nothing to open on Christmas. Remember Zadorov and Lindholm. Also, Kuz and Beauvillier's cap hits are gone.
