I think the last numbers i saw, Canada is around 1.73 or 1.78%(no time to verify which one it was), substantially higher than at any time in the 2000's. darker blue is 2023, lighter blue is 2014 keep in mind we have already added another roughly 0.4% to these numbers. Furthermore, it is a little tricky for a LARGE nation like Canada, speaking economically and in land mass terms, to churn out 2% of our GDP in military spending becuase our Economy is one of the biggest in the world. We are around 38 million people paying taxes....with a top seven GDP nation. it isn't easy to hit 2% while trying to keep from overtaxing our people.

I was wrong on two three first round winners, but right now, 3 of my 2nd round winners are leading their series and the fourth is VAN/EDM where the series is tied. I think this is the best bracket I have had in a decade. hahaha Oh, and also the teams I got wrong in winning round 1 are now losing their round 2's. Yeah, it was a smaller pie, but I didn't get a gamey aftertaste at all on account of the sauce and maybe even the bacon. I really enjoyed the game, the boys took it to OT and frankly just as easily could have won the game as they lost it. Both games have been incredibly fun to watch and we are tied in a series with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisatl, did anyone think this was what we would be watching, in the second round of the playoffs, back in in June last year?
