I use dark, but given the historical precedent of the default being light, I feel that makes more sense.

So far I’m enjoying the Dark. But I’ve only been on the new site for 3 minutes.

As team dark mode. I think light mode works best for default. Since I think more folks would prefer it. Given the more modern team colors. And I think dark mode is mostly for degens. I love the dark mode, but a lot of folks last night didn't seem to care for it. Lol. So yeah, light mode default makes the most sense imo.

I prefer the dark as for me, signifies/symbolizes the change from corporate to 'grass roots'.  However, if we can take out some of the red use for buttons as for me being partial color blind, I find it hard to see the script within the red.  Also, if you want to expand to include yellow/gold and or even Halloween orange... for old team colors theme, that would be cool.  

But ultimately, I'm just so thankful we still have a platform to come to!

This, I would go with that as the dark theme. However, I think there’s a bit too much darkness, why not try charcoal grey shade instead of pitch black? Darkish grey is better to the eyes and pleasing to look at.

Yes light is better imo. I've tried both and definitely light.
