Shift-4
going to make this my accountability thread For the last two years I have been more off the rails then on the rails. My excuse was my job/career has absolutely kicked the shit out my over that period. It is just an excuse. No more. To get back on the rails I'm starting stronglifts again. This is day two. https://stronglifts.com/stronglifts-5x5/ Plus I add pulldowns/pullups to workout B. Love the vertical pull. It's all about regaining strength and seeing progress. The stronglifts plan does that. Key goals: Bench body weight, squat body weight x1.5. Plenty of conditioning, mobility, flexibility to add in on my off days from stronglifts. Stay tuned Edit: now back to my beet juice smoothy! Edited March 7 by Shift-4 1

bishopshodan
Dont know if i will be doing a marathon this year... Still getting to the gym but I'm down to about two runs per week. With shift work it is hard to get out on the road as much as I need. That said, I am averaging about 17k steps per day during my 12 hr shifts... Is there any speed/endurance walking events coming up? I kid, that sport looks funny to me.

Legs, chest/back, arms/shoulders. mobility 2 times a week on average, but sometimes replace 1 with boxing or HIIT. Each workout starts with 15-30 on the spin bike and ends with 5-10 core strength. 2 days of rest are built in because twice a week I work 8am-7pm between my clinical practice and teaching at a college, ain't doing anything outside walking my dogs. Speaking of, I shoot for 7k steps a day bare minimum but the real goal is 10k a day. After way to many years of slacking due to having a phaycial job I made a home gym and started taking the advice I give to my patients every day. these were my results after 1 year of taking my own advice seriously. Accountability inspired by @Shift-4 I have seen massive gains in strength over the last half year. I can lift more, for longer, and my very physical career takes far less of a toll on my body. That all being said, I felt I hit a plateau ecstatically, which is ok, was never my goal. So I tried to take the exact same photo I did last September, and to my surprise I can actually notice some difference in size that had gone unnoticed. Working 2 jobs is tough, so I miss some weeks, but still trying to get down into my gym 4 days a week. Feeling stronger and healthier then ever. 2

Obviously get help from a trainer if it's weight you've never lifted before.
