or maybe put the opponent's logo right in front of their locker room door, they won't be able to leave the room, 41-0 for home games this season

Or install it on the ceiling with led lightings, just like some other arenas have (Vegas, Seattle, Oilers, etc).

defeats the purpose really. the point is having to consciously respect the logo and thinking about not stepping on it. if it's on the ceiling it's out of sight, out of mind.

They should get it off the floor; it is stupid.

What they should have on the floor is an NHL ice rink (smaller of course) so coaches and players could use it as a battle map.

I agree, I just Google up all NHL locker room it look like about 70% of the league went with the ceiling (some have both on ceiling and floor: Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Kings), except for Sens, Flames, Devils, Chicago, Canucks, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montréal).

Put the logo on the both walls of the tunnel going out. The players can slap the logo for luck. Just like Notre Dame.

At first glance, it doesn’t really look all that much different. And with the lighting/brightness in those pics, the old room almost looks a bit “newer.” 
 

But then you look closer and can really see the improvements. And the need for them. That old seating looked rough! High risk of getting ass splinters from that chipped, cracked, and scraped up old wood. 
 

Agree with the others who say they should take the logo off the floor and put it on the ceiling. Or just end the superstition/tradition about not walking on the logo. Seems a waste of space, if that much floor is basically rendered unusable.

I think the narrative that Aquilini is too cheap to spend on this team is tired and false. I'm not even meaning to defend Aquilini. i just want to call it as it is. The amount of narratives made up to justify the hate of an owner who hasn't always hired the right people for the jobs is silly.

Not every tradition needs to have some deep meaning. Superstitions are meaningless, but I think it's fun when players have them.
