(Warmup song) I know Coldplay might not really fit for hockey but I thought this song for a warmup song would be great. Sort of has that where the streets have no name vibe.

As I mentioned in the other forum on your same thread, I don't recall there was music played during warmup, but I do have a suggestion for a new entry song:

For the playoffs there always was.

Absolutely no to Coldplay.

Well they make a lot more money than you or I so I don't mind them. They must be pretty talented and smart to have the millions they do. The beat is good for an opening song and not much different than the U2 one they had before.

Good for them I'm not obligated to like them because they make money.

Lots of people have millions without any talent or smarts.

Some talentless dummies even make billions, take the owner of our local NHL team for example...

Thunderstruck was the song in the early Linden era.  I think it was Ronning that chose that as their entry song.

Well it was just a suggestion. Stick with U2 then. I don't mind it at all. Lots of pump up songs that could be used.

Yeah sorry, I shouldn't be so critical. They sound like wounded animals sometimes though and sound overly depressed. Not sure that gets people pumped up or reflecting on why life is so unfair sometimes.

Did you listen to the song? They don't sing in it. Lol. I wouldn't ever suggest it normally but it's upbeat and they don't actually sing in it.

I tried a bit. English Techno it sounded like. Ummm, not my favorite is the nicest I can be. It just seems kind of like if the Care Bears sang our intro it would be kind of wimpy even it rocked lol.

Ya. I was unsure too. Just stick with U2 or come out with something that's a little harder and upbeat.

My initial reaction was most certainly not. I play Coldplay when I'm trying to get my wife in the mood, not get hyped for a hockey game. But I gave it a listen, and it's not a terrible choice. I'd personally rather something a little harder, or something that represents the west coast, but I didn't actually hate that.

As terrible as Nickelback is now, an instrumental of this song goes hard.
