[Weekes/Dhaliwal] Zadorov Requests Trade, Canucks/Leafs Among Interested Teams

Canucks interested in a trade is a bit more speculation/an inference, but I expect we’ll be among the teams looking at him along with Toronto.

This is a solid player. Top 4 on almost every team in the NHL. Would be awesome to have him but with Leafs needing a D upgrade badly means they'll out bid us..

Do you think it will just be about the money for big Z or fit?  And then there's the Millstein angle.

I'm talking about the trade request he just made in Calgary. 

 

He wants out. Both Leafs and Canucks will make offers. But I'm afraid Brad Treliving is going to out bid us and drive his price up too high for us..

Hmm interesting, I forgot about the Treliving connection. 

 

I think he's a bit of a tweener 2nd pairing / 3rd pairing guy but I'm very influenced by his games I watched a couple of years ago. I haven't seen him much this year at all even when I glanced at their games. 

 

He's the perfect guy to add in terms of style that we need more of, but I'm not too excited because he's a lefty and we badly need a right handed dman. 

 

I'd prefer to keep Soucy and Cole on their strong side and find a righty.
