are they not meant to kick in next season? I was going to start my ELC talks for July 1st onwards last week..but figured I would kick it to after the deadline.

Any contracts agreed to prior to the end of this regular season, start in this season.

Dallas was aware of this prior to negotiations starting.

With Gostisbehere on the move pending league approval, our last big piece left available is Stamkos.

Remember when Kucherov missed the entire '21 season and Tampa finished 6th in the East and then won the Cup? This year Vasilevsky and Sergachev have missed long chunks and Tampa sits 7th. It's still Tampa, guys.

Looking for a couple good young NHL players plus a first round pick or equivalent prospect. We can retain for this year only.

With Vegas out of the playoff push we are listening on the following playoff players that could put a contender over the top...

Darnell Nurse
Brad Marchand

We are also open for business on all other roster players

Vegas is looking for quality over quantity as we have a solid pool of prospects and fringe NHL'ers, so are looking for on the cusp or young NHL players over draft picks.

TRADE: The San Jose Sharks have made a trade with the Washington Capitals.

To WSH:

To SJ:

The Washington Capitals are excited to announce the acquisition of Erik Cernak as well as extensions for both Brenden Dillon and Nikita Zadorov.

With Andrei Vasilevskiy between the pipes and these guys protecting him, we believe that Washington will be one of the toughest teams to play against in the entire league.

4 or 6 teams plotting a deal with play off assets to acquire Rasmus Dahlin have sent messages to Edmonton. So Edmonton is listening on Rasmus Dahlin.

Lets open Rasmus up to all GM's; futures or play off assets.

Dahlin aside?

Edmonton, comfortable we will be a top 3 team, deadline strategy is to strategically acquire play off depth.

CBJ is willing to listen to offers on 23 year old Mattias Samuelsson (1 more year at $3 Million), including in a package for a larger deal. Looking to receive a similar level (age/upside/contract) forward and a depth defenseman.

He's currently on LTIR IRL so rebuilding teams can take him at no extra points.
