I like Gazdic, despite him having played for Edmonton he seems pretty fair. I also like Elliot, especially when he and Bieksa are giving jabs to each other haha. Jen I’ve only seen a couple times but she doesn’t bother me.

Yeah that makes sense. I do like the look of it, just a bit worried about D depth. Trading mikeheyev will be tricky I think, and I have no idea what a buyout would look like. I wonder who gets sacrificed if we keep him.

Hmm you have 6 D signed, I think we need two more. Even this year where we were very lucky with injuries we used at least 8 (I think 9?). I personally would probably feel comfortable with one more, and then rely on Abby after that. We would need another forward or two as well, but we might have more luck getting that from Abby. The players you resigned though are the same I want to keep lol. I am ok with trading Hronek for the right price, and letting Joshua go if he wants too much.

Let me know if I am missing something here, but assuming the Canucks give out the contracts in your sig, they will still need to sign like 4 more players and have no cap room to do it.

I love this idea, even just as a message that the fans still support him. Since I’m sure he is probably aware of a lot of the negativity towards him.

I understand all the comments about Hronek, and I’ve been flip flopping for a while. I think for me, I would prioritize Lindholm assuming we could get him at 7 or just over. It’s hard to find a scenario where we sign both of them. But if we can’t get lindholm then go for Hronek.

It’s going to be really tough to decide. Projected cap space according to capfriendly is 24.8 million. (Don’t know how poolman’s ltir factors into that). We need 4 forwards and 4 defencemen, at an average of 3 million each. I’ve never tried this before, let me know if you think any projected values are way off. Lindholm = 7 million Bluegar = 2 million lafferty = 1 million sign a random forward = 2.5 million Zadorov = 4.5 million Meyers = 4 million Random D signing = 2.5 million Random D signing = 1 million Hronek = trade. UNLESS you manage to get rid of Mikeheyev somehow. If Zadorov or Meyers want to go to free agency and leave for more money, that could also be an avenue to keep Hronek. This is also not counting on any help from Abby. For me, keeping Lindholm is huge. EDIT: Silovs replaces Desmith (as much as I love him)

I know it’s easy to jump to conclusions, but it’s just allegations. I could see a situation where someone felt they were wronged (maybe they just weren’t good at their job, felt they were treated unfairly, etc) and since it’s the Blackhawks is thinking there’s a good chance they can get some compensation. Remember the Doerie situation? It could very well be something similar to that. Or it could be really bad cause it’s it’s blackhawks

Today, after being a bit removed from yesterday’s game, I feel that objectively a suspension is fair. Imagine it was Kane and Bouchard doing that to Hughes? And don’t try to bring up the mcDavid high stick, an accidental stick like that is never a suspension (just a penalty ). Even if soucy didn’t intend to get him in the face, you are always responsible for your stick. And honestly, I looked at it a couple times, if Zadorov didn’t get him I still think he might have got him in the face soucy had already even given a small slash back before it, for those saying it was payback for mcDavid slash. Soucy slashed him and then cross checked him. I think the fact that mcDavid started it, and that he can claim he wasn’t trying to hit mcDavid face, will only make it a one game suspension. And I think that’s objectively fair. edit: also, the fact that it was after the game ended also makes it worse.

For me, (assuming reasonable price of course) the priority would be zadorov and lindholm. Hronek is the only guy we can get something for trading. Ideally we could keep Hronek too. If we keep lindholm then bluegrass becomes expendable
