Gonna be an interesting offseason. Hopefully they get some playoff experience. Petey(especially) and Kuz need to turn their situations around before things really start to plummet. hockeyfan-observer Posted December 6, 2023 Share Posted December 6, 2023 Tough loss after the come back in the third period - but the game was probably lost in the first, and the last minute of the second. Need to clean up these "last minute of the period goals" which can have a dramatic impact on games, extending leads and losing precious points. The coverage on the winning goal was poor. Demko also needs to play a bit better - hopefully he is not getting tired as he has played quite a few games recently, without the back to backs. This was certainly a winnable game but the damage to an eastern opponent is not as costly - hopefully the team plays a complete game against the Wild starting in the first period. They really need to get a better start (how many times have we said that) - must be something in the preparation - most of the losses this year have happened with early / multi goal deficits in the first / third periods. On a brighter note, congrats to Christine Sinclair on a wonderful international career and it was great to see 48000+ witness the event. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
