The Arsenal draw against Chelsea in the previous match means Spurs will finish the weekend 2 pts clear at the top.

Nketiah with the natural hat trick in Arsenal's 5-0 win over Sheffield United.  Sheffield United sit bottom with 1 point from 10 matches.  Derby County's 11 pt 07/08 record low Premier League campaign looks to be smashed if Sheffield doesn't pick up the pace.

Manchester Derby tomorrow.

Manchester is Blue.  Liverpool and Villa with nice wins.  Surprise win for Everton over West Ham.  Everton will need a few more wins like that if the want to stay up, especially if they get a points deduction for FPP violations.

After 10 matches:

1) Spurs 26 pts

2) Arsenal 24 pts

3) Man City 24 pts

4) Liverpool 23 pts

5) Aston Villa 22 pts

I have to post this.  The DFB-Pokal is Germany's cup competition.  FC Saarbrücken play in the 3. Liga, which is the third tier of football in Germany.  At least the Gunners lost to a fellow Premier League side.

Guess Kane's quest for silverware is down to the league and the Champions League.  Good luck.

Matchday 4 of the Champions League started today.  Man, Group F is all over the place.  Dortmund beat Newcastle and AC Milan beat PSG.  Dortmund now leads the group and Newcastle is now last in the Group.

Man City is through to the Knockout Stage.

Tomorrow ManU and Arsenal have their return matches against Copenhagen and Sevilla.

A few more clubs booked their spots into the Knockout Round.  Bayern, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad, and Inter Milan join Man City from yesterday.  Some clubs still have to determine if they are 1st or 2nd in their respective groups, but ate guaranteed a spot.

Edit:  Forgot RB Leipzig also is through from yesterday.

Arsenal go top in their group 4 pts clear of Lens and PSV with their win against Sevilla.  Likely will book their spot next matchday at the end of the month.

Man U in a world of hurt.  Their loss puts them bottom with a difficult away date with Galatasaray and a final match against Bayern.  The only saving grace will be that Bayern is through top of the group already, so they may dress the subs.

Always a pleasure seeing international football's version of the Yankees/Cowboys/Leafs lose....especially after blowing two leads....

Gotta put this one of Rashford, though. Man U were pretty much in control before his sending off.....

Europa and Europa Conference League Matchday 4.

In Europa League, Liverpool lost to Toulouse but still top their group with 9 pts.  West Ham and Brighton both won.  Brighton is a point behind group leader Marseille.  West Ham is tied with SC Freiburg on 9 pts

In Europa Conference League, Aston Villa won.  They are tied on 9 pts with Legia Warszawa.

Couple big losses today.  Spurs lose again, this time at Wolves.  The Newcastle one as well.

Arsenal and ManU win.

Everton also wins.  A pretty important victory as it puts them 8 points up on Luton Town in 18th.  If Everton gets a points deduction for FFP violations (there was a rumoured possible 12 point penalty), this 8 point cushion could be pivotal in them surviving.

So Everton got a 10 point deduction for violating FFP rules.

At least 3 clubs are in talks about planning to sue Everton.

The points deduction now puts Everton 19th place, tied with Burnley at the bottom with 4 points.  Sheffield United are in 18th with 5 points.  Luton Town are in 17th with 6 points and currently above the drop.  Bournemouth are in 16th with 9 points.

This deduction puts them right back in the relegation battle, but their recent form gave them a bit of a cushion to absorb this 10 point deduction.  For their sake, I hope they crawl out of the drop and not have their final season at Goodison Park in the Championship.

Burnley, Leeds and Leicester plan to SUE Everton for £300MILLION after Toffees were found guilty of breaking Premier League spending rules

By MATT HUGHES FOR MAILONLINE

PUBLISHED: 08:41 EST, 17 November 2023 | UPDATED: 09:18 EST, 17 November 2023

Burnley, Leeds and Leicester have confirmed their intention to sue Everton for a total of £300million after the club were found guilty of breaching financial fair play rules.

Mail Sport has learned that senior figures at the three clubs held talks this afternoon to reaffirm their plans to sue after the Premier League confirmed Everton's guilty verdict and 10-point deduction, the biggest in the competition's history.

The aggrieved trio are understood to have agreed to follow through on their previous threats to sue Everton, which they formulated over the summer after Sean Dyche's side narrowly escaped relegation on the final day of the campaign by just two points.

Leeds and Leicester were relegated to the Championship and Burnley have leant their support as they remain convinced that Everton's spending breached financial rules the previous season when they were relegated.

The three clubs have repeatedly expressed unhappiness that the Everton case was not dealt with last season and are understood to feel even more strongly following the guilty verdict, as a points deduction in the previous campaign would have relegated them.

Dyche's side can still survive this season as despite losing 10 points they are only two points from safety with over two-thirds of the season remaining.

Mail Sport revealed last month that Burnley, Leeds and Leicester had written a joint letter to the Premier League notifying them of their plans to sue if Everton were found guilty.

The £300m figure is based on a rough estimate of the £100m each club believes they lost by being relegated to the Championship.

The prospect of facing joint legal action from three other clubs is another significant blow for Everton, and could derail the planned takeover from American investment firm 777 Partners.

The punishment brightens the spotlight on both Manchester City and Chelsea and a former advisor to City tweeted that the precedent set by Everton's penalty could later result in relegation for both Premier League heavyweights.
