bishopshodan Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Who buys that much stadium swill at the prices these days !? Dumb cities, that's who. Pre-drink some good stuff and follow up after the game at a pub with some reasonable prices. 2 1 Quote
6of1_halfdozenofother Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Not surprised that all 5 of the top 5 teams are there. TBL and COL are probably because of how happy they are to see their teams succeed, but the other three need to drink themselves senseless in order to stomach watching their teams play. And yes, although the TML are back into winning playoff series, their alcoholism stems from earlier on when their team couldn't buy their way out of the 1st round (if they even made it into the playoffs). Yup dad and I stopped at the Lennox Pub before heading to the game burger and fries on sale for $10 and $4 Stanley Park IPA on tap before the Washington game last year. Strawbone Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 They must not be counting Alf, or we'd be way higher up that list! 1 1 Quote
timberz21 Posted September 21, 2023 Author Posted September 21, 2023 To be fair this guy is probably the reason why the Blackhawks are so high 3 1 Quote

canuck73_3 Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 I’m sorry I have to say it, but the Canucks couldn't even beat the Bruins in drinking. Quote
Alflives Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 Alf can’t win this on his own, but he’s doing his best. 3 1 Quote

Decent place to stop. They've also Widowmaker from Back Country Brewing. Nearly missed the game last time I was there. 1 Quote

IBatch Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 (edited) What they should also do is put in the average price of drinks. In MTL it's not hard to blow 100$ if you're getting the mixed drinks with one mate. One a period each 45-50$ with a modest tip. So 150$ lol. For 12 ounces of booze prepared for you and a friend. 75$ each gets you 3 weak doubles. Best to go with a mild buzz first, if you plan to indulge. Edited September 22, 2023 by IBatch Quote
Ghostsof1915 Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 The prices are insane. I hate lining up. So usually it's dinner and if I'm taking transit, and a drink or two prior to the game. At best I'll buy a pop at the game. But usually it's in. Watch the game, cheer like nuts, then leave. Quote
Diamonds Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 They must have already removed minors from the attendance numbers before making these calculations. It's probably not unreasonable to think there might be up to 25% minors in attendance at a hockey game which would push that average up by up to 2 drinks extra. For Toronto, saying the average legal adult is drinking ~6 beers a game would be pretty crazy. Even the 3.9 listed is a lot when many adults won't order a beer or will only have one. Also is it really $15 a beer at Roger's these days? That's crazy and it's not even craft beer. Quote
