Which NHL Fans drink the most

Recommended Posts

Not surprised that all 5 of the top 5 teams are there.  TBL and COL are probably because of how happy they are to see their teams succeed, but the other three need to drink themselves senseless in order to stomach watching their teams play.  And yes, although the TML are back into winning playoff series, their alcoholism stems from earlier on when their team couldn't buy their way out of the 1st round (if they even made it into the playoffs).

Who buys that much stadium swill at the prices these days !?

Dumb cities, that's who.

Pre-drink some good stuff and follow up after the game at a pub with some reasonable prices.

Yup dad and I stopped at the Lennox Pub before heading to the game burger and fries on sale for $10 and $4 Stanley Park IPA on tap before the Washington game last year.

Decent place to stop. They've also Widowmaker from Back Country Brewing. Nearly missed the game last time I was there. 😉

What they should also do is put in the average price of drinks.

In MTL it's not hard to blow 100$ if you're getting the mixed drinks with one mate.    One a period each 45-50$ with a modest tip.   So 150$ lol.   For 12 ounces of booze prepared for you and a friend.   75$ each gets you 3 weak doubles.

Best to go with a mild buzz first, if you plan to indulge.

They must have already removed minors from the attendance numbers before making these calculations. It's probably not unreasonable to think there might be up to 25% minors in attendance at a hockey game which would push that average up by up to 2 drinks extra. For Toronto, saying the average legal adult is drinking ~6 beers a game would be pretty crazy. Even the 3.9 listed is a lot when many adults won't order a beer or will only have one.

Also is it really $15 a beer at Roger's these days? That's crazy and it's not even craft beer.
