No we played 3/4, and the 4th game against a team without McDavid.  Let's be honest - do you not respect his ability to change games?  Is 12 points in 5 games not good enough for you to even respect his ability?

He will be close watched by Lindholm and Blueger

At the same time, a penalty filled series would not be good for Van

Well that’s out of our control.

It will depend whether the ref calls every dive, head snap back, and fake hand shake.

Exactly, I love the Canucks man, that 12 shot game we luckily won was bad, we got lucky this series. But we played a hard damn series and played their style and won! It was hard to say hey we should have had that game, cuz it was so close. Frustrating hockey all around for sure. But the true fans are standing tallest right now. Unfaltering.

And not immediately jumping on the Oilers bandwagon. 🙂

If the refs are calling it tight, then you adjust your game do you're not putting them in a position to make calls.  That's as old as hockey is

Refs did their best to help the Preds, but the Canucks persevered!

The Preds fans were correct when the fans chanted Refs suck Boesers follow through and couldn't call one crosscheck on a Pred

Figured we’d win when Miller wore Saros’ (edit: Silovs haha!) dumb shirt. 😁

But honestly what a tight series.  We know the Coil don’t play that way. Can’t wait to send them to the golf course.

When another team embellishes the refs can literally make a call at any time.

Unless you play contact free hockey you open yourself up to bad calls.

That would have been the ultimate troll if it was Saros’ shirt. 🤣

Respecting your opponent doesn’t mean you don’t believe in your team. Some posters are getting it twisted.

True but always lean to your teams side just a bit. Even in the LE days. Even then lol.

For all the miasmic poor luck surrounding Vancouver Hockey….. we do seem to have an empowering effect on backup goalies.  Overpowered Silovs + Tocchet discipline?

Bring on McNugget and Crysaitl.

Oh my god.. Silovs, obviously. Haha.  Even better, though. Miller would, too.

Best team records since Feb 15th

1. Hurricanes

2.Rangers

3. Predators

Canucks knocked off a team that was on a pretty good role since around the all star break.  They play an excellent structured system, their defence and bottom 2 lines are punishing and they have some vets that can burn you.  They also had a lethal PP near the end of the season.  These guys were no slouches .   Oilers will pose a different challenge but its not like these guys were a push over and now they have to step up and beat some insurmountable monster.

This tonight was a huge feat, no to be overlooked at all.. yeah the oil went on A run but the Press were the hottest team going in and we won.. go nucks

DeSmith is a UFA. So if he walks, he walks. I'm comfortable with Silovs as the back up though.

I think with Artie, there's a chance they could give him a heavier load, kind of like a 1B, as opposed to a G2, allowing him to stay sharper and easing the wear and tear on Demmer. Demmer has suffered some pretty serious injuries over the years, and if Silovs continues to improve, does management resign Demmer at the end of his contract? If he stays healthy, it becomes an interesting debate.

Not to mention we got Saros at his absolute best.

A series that also featured two Norris finalists and two Jack Adams finalists. Wonder when the last time that happened was.

Safe to say if the Leafs advance we get Singh, if they don’t we get Cuthbert.

Go Boston! - no matter how much I hate boston i think both those teams are fodder in the east so it doesnt matter ...anything to avoid Singh-gasms when McGoldenboy touches the puck.

They are 0-4 because three of those games were against the Woodcroft Oiler sin the beginning of the year.  Do you honestly think that team is the same team 6 months later?  Honestly?

Nor are the Canucks.  We won those first 3 games without Lindholm and Zadorov in the lineup, both banes on the Oilers side these last few years
