Not not at all.  He hasn't played since 2022.  The announcement should have happened about 18 months ago.

Don't really like him, but can't deny he was a legend and one of the greatest players in history.

1500 points.  96 and 92 assists in a season is probably his most impressive feat to me anyway.  Damn close to a club that includes only Gretzky, Mario and Orr if I remember right.  He did what I would have done...played in the NHL until they wouldn't have me anymore.
