Canucks only save money for this season. Both these players are signed for 3 more years after this one. So about 7.5 million against the cap for the next 3 years. I don't know much about either Ottawa player. Joseph seems expensive for potentially a bottom 6 guy. Zub has been brought up a few times now, maybe he'd be a good fit. Dude Posted November 11, 2023 Share Posted November 11, 2023 Does Myers still have his 10 team No trade.Is Ottowa on that list.Also with his limited minutes on a bottom pairing I think he is playing really good right now.Don't think the Canucks are interested in moving him. I proposed the following in Myer's team thread, but I think the league would take issue with it. This is how we fix the Canucks cap issue without really giving up much. To Chicago: Myers To Vancouver: Future consideration Then, wait for it....we immediately call in the Future Consideration by.... To Vancouver: Myers, 50% retained To Chicago McDonough 2024 4th round pick (whichever is higher between ours and NJ's) Net result, Myers doesn't even get on a plane and we lower our cap by 3 million....
