[Waivers] Arizona waives Ruzicka for purposes of termination

Recommended Posts

If he were a legit top six guy or a star instead of a third or fourth line guy he'd probably be pushed to enter the player assistance program instead of having his deal terminated

He made a stupid decision in sharing it on social media, but the double standard lives on

Wonder if another team takes a flyer on him going forward once his deal is terminated

There are likely several guys who use drugs recreationally around the league who just haven't been caught or who haven't broadcasted their use intentionally or otherwise

Several? lol. Try a huge portion of the league. Even the 2011 team who made it to the finals had guys on the team who loved to party 😉

High level professional athletes with a large amount of spending power spend money on partying and drugs?

Doesn't sound right

Immediate contract termination. No players assistance program. Makes you wonder if this is what happened with Corey Perry or something similar.

Big dummy for posting this on instagram but how is it that the Coyotes are allowed to just fire him rather than refer him to player assistance?

That is an excellent question I wish I had the answer to

Maybe they asked the player and the player refused and therefore leading to contract termination?

I reckon the team has assumed that that was an illegal drug, and not him playing a joke.

That is an assumption that could cost them more than the value of his remaining contract.

Maybe the team has a recent urine/hair toxicology report to back them up?
