The funny thing here is that if your computer hardware will support it, (and that's a fairly big "if") Microsoft isn't going to give you the option of buying Windows 11. They're going to give it to you, whether you want it or not.

 

There are ways to prevent this from happening (turning off Windows Updates, for one) but the bottom line is you will have to take some kind of action to prevent Windows 10 from being updated to Windows 11....

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Poilievre is choosing to "wear a tinfoil hat" by backing this sort of "divisive" legislation — a reference to conspiracy theorists. NDP and Bloc Québécois MPs have made similarly dismissive comments.

Poilievre's promotion of the bill, however, suggests the Tories are not yet ready to drop their opposition to the COVID policies that outraged some in the party base.

Poilievre said Prime Minister Justin Trudeau "maliciously divided" and attacked Canadians who shunned the COVID-19 vaccine by imposing an "unreasonable" policy that forced some people to get the shot or face consequences like job losses or additional hurdles at the border.

Poilievre is a moron who obviously did not spend any time at all thinking his bill through. Poilievre and his dog pack of followers are the Canadian version of the MAGA Republicans South of the border. He has no policies... no constructive contribution to government in all his years as a politician. He's a Freedumb Convoy supporter, likes to hang out with Proud Boys, lies blatantly and often, like every time he opens his mouth, and frankly, has embarrassed Canadians every time he stands up in the HoC. The divisiveness  he speaks of has been purely from his own side of the House.... lies in the media. fake polls, smears/lies/innuendo against the PM. There's not a shred of integrity in the little twatwaffle.... just vitriol and nastiness. He deserved every comment made to him by the PM.  PP's 'anti-vaccine mandate bill' was trashed and thank the gods and powers that be that our elected MPs have the courage to call him out on his bullshit.

Got both shots.  Did not need any appointment. Just dropped in a small local pharmacy not too many people know about.

They had both vax's in stock.    No side effects whatsoever.  Back at work later that day.

I caught Covid even though I'm vaccinated, but I barely knew I had it. People who aren't vaccinated, I'm up to 15 people I personally know who have died and my wife's cousin has permanent brain damage from getting Covid while unvaccinated.

 

Is there a chance that you'll have a reaction to the vaccination? YES! But, 3000 people die every year from Aspirin and that hasn't put a damper on sales.

Jonathan Toews, world class athlete, won 3 Stanley cups and at least 2 Olympic gold medals can't play due to post covid symptoms.

 

Getting vaccinated, I look at it like this;

 

You fell out of a plane, but a parachute fell with you.

Now, you read an unsubstantiated report once that someone with a parachute, the cords got wrapped around their neck and ripped their head off when it opened.

Because of this, you've decided that you're just going to go with the other report you read, that says you can survive hitting the ground without a parachute, if you land right...

 

I'm a technology guy. I have received close to 100 sites from anti-vaccination people that spout all kinds of made up shit about the vaccines and how they were created, effectiveness etc. I will tell you that EVERY site has fallen into one of the following categories:

 

  • Lobbyists trying to push studies of alternative treatments like Ivermectin. Those Lobbyists were trying to get Congress and the Senate in the US to approve funding for research into its effectiveness, but the funds were actually going to companies that were run by politicians and were really only methods of pulling cash out of the US economy to pay to US politicians. They make 140k ish per year and yet all of them magically have 7 figure incomes, lobbyists are a massive part of how they do that. I actually saw one site that had over 100 different links to different websites, all endorsing Irvermectin as a treatment, all looked different and all looked authentic.  Once I started digging, EVERY site was sitting on the same server as the main site and they were all owned by the same lobbyist group. The average person doesn't know how to look this information up.
  • The other big one, is sites that were parked on North American servers that were being constantly updated by proxy servers that were masking IP's originating, primarily, but not exclusively, within either Russia or China. They were being used as disinformation programs with the sole purpose of creating unrest within the North American economies and trying to keep the US Government (and Canada to a lesser extent), off balance and hamstrung for reasons that should be pretty obvious, but many miss because they are much happier believing that the vaccine is going to implant secret tracking devices in them.

I have one close acquaintance in Vegas right now, unvaccinated, he's heavy duty right wing Christian and he has been flat on his back for 2 weeks with the new strain and as of an hour ago, he's not improving.

 

So, my message to people is, get vaccinated or don't, but stop trying to fling shit at those of us who actually read and research this stuff. I'm one of the people who will actually go and read the published research papers before I believe a rumor.
